One of the best Casa Particulares we stayed at.
Reviewed By Lydia CWe spent 2 weeks travelling around Cuba staying in Casa Particulares (people’s homes where they rent out rooms). Odalys (Ody) was simply delightful and couldn’t do more to help or be friendly. The rooms are basic but of a good standard with air conditioning and good showers, not something often found in Cuba. It’s in a great quiet location but a short walk from any action. The furnishings were much more modern here than in many homes, which were often in a time warp due to the difficulty getting hold of things. Breakfast on the roof was also lovely. If I return to Cuba, I will definite visit here again.

Hostal Gardeniablanca is a charming and spacious colonial building of 450 square meters. Is'situated in the historic center of Cienfuegos, near to the square Jose' Marti, the Prado, the beautiful Malecon, the boulevard , the sea. They are available today, three bedrooms for a total of 7 beds. All floor rooms are equipped with bathroom and air conditioning. Domestic hot water all day. It 'a house fresh and quiet. There is a large patio with exotic vegetation where you can rest, drink a mohito, listening to music.
Comfortable enough
Reviewed By dotc2015Our room was clean and comfortable enough for a night. The bathroom was small; everything worked but sink leaked. (It took an engineer to figure out how to get hot water out of the strange shower head!) Like many rooms in older buildings in Cuba there is no window, no natural light. I'm a little claustrophobic and struggle to adjust a/c and/or fan to have air moving but not freeze. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Location good in that it is not far from main plaza.

Casa ChinIsi in Punta Gorda area, Cienfuegos city, where La China and Isidoro make your stay unforgettable. Located at the start of Cienfuegos Malecon (seaside over the bay), with private and pantry entrance in both of 2 nice twin rooms with all facilities. Charming family, that offer all services that you need. English, italian and russian spoken.

Reviewed By francis cThis is the best place to stay in Cienfuegos. La China and her husband Isidoro are absolutely amazing. Aside from serving a breakfast fit for kings and queens they are truly genuine people. This trip to Cuba for the International Cuba TIES 2017 conference was not ruined by the infamous stomach plague because La China was so kind as to check on me numerous times and nurse me back to health with the most delicious pork stew I have ever had. They definitely go above and beyond in terms of hospitality and comfort. I will only be staying here when I return to Cienfuegos. I came as a foreigner and left as family!!!

Hostal Don José, is a modern safe family house, located in Punta Gorda, the most beautiful area in Cienfuegos city, here you can find a very nice place to stay, close to car rentals, gas stations, shopping. Night clubs are within a 3 minutes or less walk, two blocks from the sea, in front and one street from the main street makes it in a perfect location and provides a great noise buffer. Quite nights can be enjoyed on 3 separated terraces or a relaxing swing in the hammock under the covered deck.The house has 3 bedrooms with private bathrooms two of them have a full kitchen and all comforts of a high end get a way. On request the staff will be more than happy to cook for you.

Reviewed By Chris TGreat location in between the Palacio del Valle and Old Town. We stayed in a nicely decorated room upstairs. Jose was a great host, very attentive and helpful. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was great.

A beautiful and welcoming casa
Reviewed By Millie RThis colonial home is beautiful, welcoming and very clean. I stayed at Doña Amalia for a week while attending a conference in Cienfuegos. The room was spacious, very quiet, extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. A/C works great. Clean towels & small refrigerator provided. Good hearty breakfast with fresh tropical fruits and of course, Cuban cafecito/coffee. Beautiful view from the roof terrace. Perfect location - right on the Paseo del Prado and a few blocks from the pier, the Boulevard [shopping area], El Malecón and Plaza Marti. The owner, Don Juan Jose, is very friendly, welcoming and genuine; and always available to help & make suggestions. The staff: Roberto, the owner's right hand; Digna & Liudys [aka China] are very hospitable and made me feel right at home from day one. When I go back to Cienfuegos, this will be the ONLY casa I'd want to stay at.

Also the food was amazing and the location of the house conveniently in downtown, I was able to visit the whole city and stay relatively close to the house. It was an excellent stay!

Charming hostess and nice roof top terrace
Reviewed By Eva KWe stayed in Lalita's and Henry's casa for two days. The room we got was rather small but clean. Furthermore, the casa featured a nice roof top terrace where breakfast was served and we could relax after our sightseeing. Lalita herself is a charming hostess, but unfortunately we had problems communicating as we did not speak Spanish and her English was somewhat limited. Right across the street there is a supermarket where you can buy beverages at affordable prices. We went to a restaurant Lalita recommended, Brisas del Mar, and had a really good dinner, but other guests had eaten at Lalita's and commented positively on her cooking.
