I’m really surprised to read a couple of bad reviews as I’ve been coming here pretty regularly for about 8 years and the food and service are consistently great - well I wouldn’t keep going back if they weren’t. The ‘what is the best pub Sunday roast?’ question often comes up in local Facebook groups and this is the one I always recommend. A couple of weeks ago I tried their bottomless brunch on a Saturday and this was just as good. The intention had been to leave afterwards but we moved into the bar area once we had paid to have another drink and ended up staying to almost closing time as there was a nice atmosphere and then the singer came on and he was really good, it wasn’t long before most of the pub were up dancing. Great day and night.

Built in the early 19th-century, The Three Jolly Wheelers originally relied heavily on the tourist trade. A photograph of the inn taken in 1906 shows that the inn used to hire out horses and traps - most likely used by day-trippers travelling to Epping Forest. We still welcome tourists to this day, in addition to locals looking to unwind and have a peaceful stay in our lodge.
Be carful before you book , Made a booking more than a month in advance, and on the day they made us move hotels beacuse they double booked the rooms this cost me alot more money for travel as I was attending a wedding the room cost £118 for that one night, the person who called me to move hotles advised for the inconvenience I would be getting the room 50% off, and have the other on credit to spend on travel lodge hotels, which I was okay with, but after my stay was over I did not hear anything back so I emailed and got an email back saying the manager will be in, in the morning shift and he will sort it, couple of days went by, no response so I emailed back for an update and have been ignored, I WOULD NOT BE BOOKING WITH TRAVEL LODGE AGAIN

Booked this place through booking.com who have been absolutely useless. Reading some reviews on this place I do not understand how it’s still taking bookings, I have not seen one positive review. On arrival we didn’t even recognise the place! The photos where extremely out of date. Didn’t even recognise the place. The building looks like it’s had no repair works done for a very very long time. A man arrived speaking very little English. A woman (no idea who she was) was soaking her feet in a washing up bowl (you couldn’t make it up) it was just going from bad to worse. When looking inside the ‘cottage’ it was absolutely disgusting. Cigarette ends on the floor mould everywhere we wouldn’t even keep an animal in those conditions, we refused to stay and booked a premier inn 3 miles down the road. What’s worse the man was very unapologetic like he was used to it. Told us to take it up with booking.com in which we have had no response at all. I would hate for anyone else to be conned out of there money into staying in this place! If I could give is 0 stars I would!!!!!!
