I told the front desk and they had nothing to say or offer. I used points - so I feel like I lost a potential stay that could have been nice and chose a roach motel. YUCK

Quiet, newer hotel. Helpful staff.
Reviewed By 899DavidFDecent place. Clean, comfortable, quiet. The staff was very helpful in finding dining choices. Not a fan of the thermostat and for a newer hotel the walls had some cracks which seemed odd. Internet was fast and bed/sheets were soft and clean.

Reviewed By taniciaj2021My boyfriend’s job booked his stay here while he was on the road working. The room they were given was roach infested!! He called the front desk to inform them of the situation. Their solution was just to move them to another room. He kept his bag in the car to prevent bringing any creepy crawlers home with him. Needless to say, they checked out the next morning. He attempted walking good clothes there but the machine didn’t spin his clothes well and even though he rung them out before putting them in the dryer, and dried them twice, they were still wet the next day.

The Onion Inn is locally owned and operated. Friendly comfort awaits you at The Onion Inn, conveniently located near Vidalia Municipal Airport. We know southern hospitality! Take advantage of our spacious conference rooms. Truckers are welcome! We have a large parking area. Extra's include and onsite Shoney's restaurant that offers full room service 7 days a week and a Free "Grab N Go" Breakfast. *Although it states we have kitchenettes in each room and breakfast, this is not the case. We are working to getting that corrected on our site!
Travel for Dance Competition
Reviewed By TravelingLeeFamilyWe booked a room just to be close to the venue for a dance competition that my daughter was participating in on a Saturday. The facility and room was very clean and comfortable for my daughter and I. The Manager was so friendly and accommodating, even offering a later checkout time since we had to be at the venue so early so that I could take my daughter and come back to pack up out belongings. The day was so long we decided just to spend another night, our stay was extended with a simple phone call where I did mention to the manager that the occupant next door to us was smoking in the non-smoking area and we could smell it coming into our room the night prior. The issue was addressed with no more problems. I would definitely choose to stay at this location again. The added bonus was waking up from a nap at 9pm after a day of competition to a call from the from the manager to make sure we were having no more issues from next door that alerted us we had slept right through dinner, but luckily the Shoney's Breakfast Buffet had just started downstairs. ? Thanks for the hospitality!!

Check in fine although receptionist not familiar with what TV channels available. Ask for rooms in back away from highway. I do prefer hotels with thermostat on the wall, instead of dials on below window a/c units which are loud and have only low & high settings. This hotel has thermostat allows you to set exact temperature.
