Staff could be more up to date on knowing the dishes in English, the wine list was to short of selection of white wines. I was sitting translating the menu to Swedish and helping the staff. Then you actually had a menu in English. I guess it was just bad luck that you did not have the ingredients for a Bloody Mary. Hint just keep a couple of pre maid juices in stock. Very good breakfast. Easy checkout!

Reviewed By raymondtmfbakerWell firstly a hotel is about sleeping and we had a good night's sleep. That said this was the first hotel visit we made as a family of four. The room that was a family room had a bed and bed sofa and considering the price the room was very good. The only downside was that the bathroom floor and especially the shower was very slippery. I spoke to a representative of the hotel and he said that it would be fixed so I hope it will. This hotel had an inclusive buffet when sleeping there and that is always nice. Considering the dish of the day that was not really for small children some consideration to this would have been appreciated but we never got any service regarding that issue and a children's dish would have been appreciated considering that a parents day is basically ruined if the children can't get something to eat..we solved it with bread and butter. The best part of this hotel must anyway be the breakfast, they have got a really good breakfast buffet that included just about everything you could want for breakfast. They even had some things that weren't breakfast that was perfect for the small ones so that was much appreciated. As I told the hotel having some meatballs or pancakes would have been perfect for an evening meal for the small ones. All consideration taken fought off I would think that any family of four would get a good stay here and the only set back would be the evening meal for children (toddlers) and the slippery floor in the shower.

The little garden on the back is very inviting and great for hangouts or breakfast, which btw was amazing. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you!!

Destination Apelviken is an resort with hotel, campsite, two restaurants, pool, surfcenter and a lot more. Open all year round. We're situated between two beaches, just a short walk from Varberg centre.
Confirmed booking got canceled the day before arrival
Reviewed By 759kjelltOur booking that was placed online and was confirmed OK by phone the day before arrival got dubbel-booked and given away to the other person. We had to rearrage our vacation because of this. The booking-system seems poor.

Reviewed By SineadC86Stayed here for one night with the kids. Really unique and interesting. Much more memorable than a hotel. Amazing location and views. So much to explore in and around the B&B for the kids. Beach, playground, parks, skatepark and of course a huge castle! Our room was warm and cosy and the history of the place made it a real adventure for the kids. The host even gave us a mini tour of the old prison which was really cool. Very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for families wanting something more interesting than a standard hotel.

Houses close to the ocean
Reviewed By fridaelmaApelvikstrand just beautiful! Lies close to the ocean and its sandy beaches. Apelvikstrand beachouse is a housing area that lies just next to the ocean Kattegatt. Its less than 5 minutes walk to the beautiful beach. On a green spot and Sandy dunes you may find theese houses lying two and two. Each house has a lock with keycode and slides easy up and closes just as easy. To the house there is a porch Aspelin as table and sun chairs. The Windows are big and natural light comes in to the house. We choosed a house with 8 beds. The plan of the house was well made with a smaller kichen, two bed rooms and a sofa bed. The curtains in the bedroom are darkening. There was also one room with the toilet and one with the shower. There was also a tv, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and stove. No oven. Blankets and pillows are available but you need sheets and towels. Either rented or bring your own. You pay for the consumable stuff such as soap, toilet paper and household paper. There is a vacuum cleaner on place, no broom. Overall the service was good but we didnt have so much contact with the reception, since there was no one on place. We stayed here during a festive time called Valborg and it ended up with a huge party with around 50 youth taking over the site. The volume was high from 18:00 -23:00 with bass sound from several houses, after that securitas showed up and got everything in order. There was one person in the staff during the day that checked the area but no one during late evening which gave the youth a possibility to party hard. Still I would like to give the place itself a star! And I belive this is a fantastic place to stay on, when there is staff on place that keeps the place in order, and when there isnt holiday or special circumstances as it is during Covid-19.

I mitt hem på Södergatan i centrala Varberg har jag skapat ett litet Bed & Breakfast, fast jag har försvenskat det till Husrum & Frukost. Konceptet är detsamma. Du bor hemma hos mig, fast med egen ingång. Jag delar med mig av bäddar, bilder, böcker, gräsmatta och klädstreck. Och om du så vill, fixar jag frukost.
