Excellent Hotel Near Airport!

The hotel offers a airport transfer service which is amazing, no need to worry about getting a transfer or getting ripped off at the airport. Since we had many luggage with us, they gave us x2 huge cars which I was really happy about. Hotel is really close to the airport so you'll never miss your flight. The hotel decor is really nice and clean. The view form the top floors are amazing. The breakfast was great with many options. There are good food places to eat just down the road. The staff were amazing and very helpful. I will definitely be back and send my family too again. Thank you for the memories.

Close to the airport, close to the city center, quite noisy because of traffic like in whole Dhaka. Coffe was very tasty, made by Jesmin! Large selection of very different kind of dinner in restaurant menu.

Lying manager gave us a room not fit for a cow!
Reviewed By AtawhidI needed a hotel before our morning flight and found prices on the internet and hoping for a better rate, I called the hotel directly and the manager said the hotel was fuly booked and the rooms I am seeing on the internet were not available and that he would give alternative rooms. The 2 rooms he offered, he said were better and even said that he would accomodate ur third guest in one of the rooms. The suite that was given was average but clearly dilapidated and as for the double room we were given - that was a hell hole! We had to share with our baby and the room was infested with mosquitos and the noise from the traffic was constant and the the windows did not seem to keep the noise out. When we wne up for breakfast we quickly realised that the hotel was not full at all as there was only one other person in the restuarant. In addition, I got ripped off by the hotel as they charged me equivalent of £93 for both of the rooms which was in excess of advertisd prices on the internet. Avoid hotel at all costs and book via internet to get best price.

Very neat and clean and staff was very friendly . all the shops restaurants it’s nearby and everything is so well organized I must say. I would love to visit again , Thank you.

Reviewed By london176Stayed 1 night and pick up from airport was good and as planned with a pleasant driver. The first thing I noticed when arriving at the hotel was the damp smell in the reception. Unfortunately this was also evident in the twin room which was very cramped. There was no safe in the room as stated on the notices. The service overall was okay but not as good as other hotel's in Bangladesh. The worst bit was when checking out and the chap in reception was sleeping behind the desk! I couldn't wake him up but the security guard managed to. There was no greeting and he seemed a bit perturbed that I had woken him! The shuttle bus was there but no driver so they put me in an Uber to the airport. Oh and the AC didn't seem to work so I didn't get much sleep which wasn't helped by the rock hard mattress.

SHORT TRIP TO THE AIRPORT
Reviewed By Terry MThis was our Dhaka base over three separate stays. It was better than expected. The third stay was on what felt like an executive floor. Polite staff is always nice. The hot water needs more than claimed five minutes, at least on the second floor, for a shower. It was a nice room. The fourth floor room had a bit more polish about it. Both were of decent size. There were toiletries and the much appreciated coffee/tea maker, even if the former was just instant. The Uttara part of Dhaka is pretty quiet for sleeping, the hotel tucked down a narrow road. The breakfasts were the best we had in the country. Had one dinner here [on the national election night]. It was fine, the portions a bit small. There are enough restaurants and cake shops if you want to eat out. The hotel lacks charm but it is functional. It is not in a convenient area for touring but there is quick access to the airport.

Reviewed By bahmed09My last visit at Dhaka on January 2022 was very safe and welcomed at Grandplaza. The best think I liked is the location in Uttara and their cleanliness and food is amazing. I recommend this hotel. This was my second visit in last 2 years. Good thing is they have on side covid testing for travel passengers.

Good for a very short stay, convenient location and nice staff
Reviewed By clara lI only stayed at the hotel for a very short stay on business travels. The hotel pick up from the airport was late and the person I was trying to call did not speak English so it was hard to communicate but he did pick me up eventually so I was not bothered. The hotel stay was fine: the bedroom was okay, clean-ish, the bathroom was basic. There was a TV which worked and the wifi worked as well. Room service was fine, the food was ok. The rest of the hotel was very quiet but a bit dirty. I had a very early flight the next day and me along with a couple of other travellers had to wait a good half an hour before the driver came. Thankfully no one missed their flights. Otherwise, I would stay again for a short stay in Dhaka. Thanks to the nice staff.

Nice stay - but amazing service (MUST READ!!!)
Reviewed By Shepon_23Hotel was good. But what was excellent was the fact the I left my watch (a very nice one too might I add) and flew back to the UK. I realised a couple days later (I know ?) and I never expected it but they had it! And they kept it for another 2 weeks until I arranged for my dad to pick it up! Wait there’s more !!! My dad got to Dhaka and called them from another nearby hotel! The manager had the watch sent to my dad!!! How incredibly amazing is that. Fantastic service. Above and beyond. Truly going the extra mile (in this case it was around 3 miles ?). We sincerely thank the manager at Sea Shell Residence. Thank you sir. Fi-Amanillah ❤️
