It´s a new Business hotel in town with a fresh style. however It´s a good option for a leisure time. It have a good ubication, 10 min to the down town with transportation for free. Good rate and all the amenities you could need (include breakfast). I don´t recommend take the breakfast in the terrace (because the ants) and I would have liked more variety in the breakfast dishes. In general I had a good experience in this hotel, I highly recommend

THE GOOD - Price is excellent, about US$68.50 a night - Facilities are new... really new! - Pool is medium size, a little to much cold but when the weather is above 31° is OK - The rooms are spacious and clean - Always hot water - It is right in the middle of everything. - 7 minutes to downtown, 12 to shopping mall and 10 to the beach - There is a very famous cafeteria right in front of the hotel: "La Parroquia" - Lots and lots of parking space - Many security cameras all around - Lots of security inside and outside the hotel - Computes in lobby with internet - For the price you get free break fast, not continental COMPLETE break fast buffet - Really quiet place - Not a problem during 3 day stay. - There are some OXXO´s near by (like 7Eleven) - I made my reservation on the cellphone on my way there, not a problem! - Perfect Wifi all around the hotel - Lots of channels on the TV - Did not hear one sound from the hall or the other rooms THE BAD I can´t think of any bad thing about it. Maybe just if this hotel were on the border of the river, it would be awesome! - Maybe, just maybe but is normal, the buffet gets really crowded from 9 to 11 - The buffet runs out of some food very fast and the delay time they refill all sometimes is too much, but hey! its free... What did you expect!

Reviewed By NavyCmdrI have 15 stitches in my hand and I need help with almost everything. Bathing, dressing and shaving are a few examples. I call my friend to come help me please and these sanctimonious receptionists would not let my friend come up. They would not let security bring my friend up. I had to take 35 minutes to put on pants and shirt to go down to the lobby and to late: Gone! I don’t know how I’m going to shower. I can probably shave but the rest? Glad you don’t work in a nursing home.

Reviewed By murp7136We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was wonderful, the buffet breakfast was delicious. The only thing they could improve on is cleaning the rooms a little more thoroughly (under the beds) and some more regular maintenance touch ups.

Best Western Riviera Tuxpan
Reviewed By 777DarrylWe found the hotel to be very clean and the beds very comfortable. The porter and desk staff were very friendly and helpful. It is located right on the riverfront boulevard, so a taxi or a city bus is never far away. With the location comes street noise - loud motors and horns beeping- (FYI if you are a light sleeper like I am) as well as an occasional loud noise from the cafe downstairs as they are getting going in the morning (we were awakened each morning to some strange bang or thump from the cafe that carried through the block walls). The self-serve breakfast buffet is very reasonably priced at 105 pesos. The breakfast included a small variety of cooked food typical of the region as well as hotcakes and cereal. I can't complain for the price, but you can find tastier choices nearby. Parking is very tight but the porter will help direct you, and the situation creates greater security for the night. Wifi worked but was slow and varied with location inside the room. I believe there are hardwired computers in the lobby for faster connection for a small fee. Hot water worked for shower, A/C worked but staff turned off unit every time we left, so we had to cool the room down again each time we returned - and it was June- a bit of a pain if you are expecting to stop in to the room to cool off for a few minutes. Overall we felt safe and got what we paid for in a location convenient for our needs.

It is located perfectly to go to the beach or to visit downtown or a shopping mall. You could say that is right in the middle of everything. THE GOOD 1. It is really new 2. The staff is prompt and helpful 3. The rooms are spacious and clean 4. You need the magnetic key for almost everything on the hotel, which is good for security but, after a while it gets boring and kind of complicated but, anything goes for security 5. Always hot water 6. Plenty of channels at the TV 7. Good Wifi, at least where my room was 8. Two medium swimming pools (not heated) 9. The open areas and pool area are the best of this hotel 10. It is a good price, about US$ 75 per night and it includes buffet breakfast 11. Not a noise from room neighbors, the rooms are well sound sealed. 12. Plenty of parking space 13. Lots of cameras all over the place 14. Many places to rest, with the family and with your loved one. THE BAD 1. It has a gym that is a bit crowded in the mornings 2. There is a "business" space, very small, in open space and the only computer is very slow. 3. The staff is a little unprepared when there is too much people waiting for their room and trying to check in... When I was checking in, I waited for about 12 minutes. This is a good place to be at, malls and downtown are about 10 minutes away and the beach is 12 minutes. There is an OXXO right in front of the hotel (it is like a 7 Eleven 24 / 4 ) and a gas station 40 meters away. This is one of the best choices to be at Tuxpan with your family or loved one.
