Value for money, dated property, clueless staff
Reviewed By prakoWe stayed at Ellaa for two nights. Our room was huge and well kept. The property looks dated and could have been maintained better though. The staff, however, is clueless. 1) We asked for a pain killer tablet and they did not respond for almost two hours. When we called again they said that the Hotel did not have it since covid has gone !! What has covid got to do with this? Thereafter we asked for a pain relief balm. They sent one but asked us to return it immediately since some other guest may ask for it in the night. A hotel with more than 100 rooms had only one pain relief balm worth around Rs 50 !! 2) My wife does not eat onion & garlic and I had mentioned the same while booking. We even informed at the reception during check in and were told that the kitchen staff has been updated with the information. However, when we went for breakfast the next day we were offered only idli and dosas with only chutney out of the many things that were available for other guests. The staff feigned ignorance when we told them that we had already informed the hotel of our food preferences. They did offer to make something for us. However, that would have taken half an hour, which we did not want to waste. 3) Almost everything kept for breakfast was cold be it the parathas, idlis, vadas etc. There was an army of staff at the restaurant. Yet the service was poor. Hotels with much lesser staff have given us much better service than Ellaa.

Reviewed By 913ramgThis is one of the best places i ever stayed at Hyderabad. Also i am very happy to meet a waiter Mr. Aftaf who is really friendly and caring person. After a long day drink at their place is really cool. Nice walking trail is a big plus. I would strongly recommend this place.

Excellent soundproof. View from room is ok( backside). AC cools well. No fan. Bathroom and toilet is huge, like a small room in a hotel, but looks jaded; the freshness is simply not there. Flush system is strange. Bath tub available, and 24--hour--hot water. In room dining quite costly and just ok in taste. Complimentary breakfast had limited main courses---taste ordinary. " Melange" ambience is nice. Staff like Satish well behaved. House keeping good, Nikhil was a sweet boy. Others, too, are courteous. Security staff are very up-to-date and friendly. Thumbs up for them. But some front office(reception) men require training in every aspect. They aren't bad but just do not know how to handle guests and answer queries to their satisfaction. One particular person( don't want to name him) was quite rude. Having said that, Shanti was humble and gave us a one and a half hour late check out. My advice to the management is that keep right faces in front desk. Even if guests are upset and impolite, the front desk needs to cajole them and soothe their temper. The customers deserve an informal relation with the staff. After all, they travel long distances and have chosen your hotel. A satisfied customer is the best advertisement. A " sorry" should not cost the hotel much.
