nice place, but...

Reviewed By EugenC

The good: The rooms are decent, clean. Lots of towels (you have to take towels from the room when you go to the swimming pools, they don't provide towels there), bathrobe. The beds are nice, comfortable. Our room had a small balcony, with a small table and two chairs. There's even a clothes rope, which I guess comes in handy during summertime when you come back from the lake, as you can hang your swimming suite(s) to dry. The room was warm, even too warm for our taste. Mini-bar in the room, with some beverages in it (spirits, wine, beer, water, soft drinks). The hotel was clean, and, in general, the staff and the guests wore masks. The swimming pools area was also clean, plenty of space at any time of the day. There is free WiFi (Guest WiFi - poor connection, didn't work, and Bradet Rooms, for which you have to ask at the reception desk for the connection password - this is OK, I could easily connect to it after getting the password). Breakfast and dinner were OK, plenty of food to choose from. The staff were polite and welcoming. The bad: There was some rust on the heater from the bathroom. The hallway as you entered the room was very narrow, it was difficult for 2 people to pass by one another at the same time, especially if the bathroom door was opened. No towels provided in the swimming pool area, you have to bring a towel from the room (we did not know that, so I had to go back to the room to bring towels). The major downside to this is that you'll end up with wet towels that you cannot hang anywhere in your room to dry (there's only one small heater in the bathroom, which is not enough if you have 2-3 large towels to dry, plus the bathrobes, which will most likely be wet, or at least moist, when you come back from the swimming pools). Cleaning is not done on a daily basis, and neither are the towels changed. We had to call reception and ask for clean towels, as our were wet and unusable. The 2 elevators are very slow. Given that the hotel has 7 floors, plus reception, plus restaurant (used for lunch), plus conference room (used for breakfast and dinner), plus spa, combined with the multitude of guests, the waiting time for the elevators was almost infuriating at times. Not all the guests wore masks on the hallways and in the elevators, even if there are signs all over the hotel. The temperature in the room was way too high (around 26 degrees Celsius), and we did not manage to lower it from the wall-mounted thermostat, so we had to simply turn it off. The dishes, especially those served for dinner, were not very child friendly. I've seen many children struggling to find something to their liking. Only one 330 ml bottle of water per person is offered at dinner, so if you want more, you'll be charged for it. There were tiles missing or broken in the swimming pools area, and also some rust in some places. No complimentary tea/coffee in the room, which I find bizarre for a 4 star hotel.

The restaurant is very nice and very fast service with very good food. The breakfast is extremely nice with a lot of variety and attention of the staff to all the details. I enjoyed the time spent and I recommend to future guests.

Ensana Sovata

Sovata Ensana Health Spa Hotel is the largest four-star hotel in Sovata. Ensana Spa - an exquisite place on the two floors, providing also unique medical treatments in its' treatment center!

4- star applies to the room charges, not the service and quality provided.

Reviewed By annev508

We stayed there for 4 nights, our room was small, smelly and old in every respect. You are not being provided with any amenities which you might find even in common 2- star hotels: water, tea, coffee, soap, etc. We were lucky to have stayed in summer and not having to use the heater, which looked like a piece of old rusty iron. For this kind of service the room charges are surreal. Not to mention the spa area, which is rather functional, not for relaxation purposes. For someone looking for services at a 4- star hotel, I wouldn’t recommend this place ever.

Poor service compared to price

Reviewed By silvanasB7505CX

We visited Fabesca early January 2022 and the location has potential but we were highly disappointed by the services. Rooms were not cleaned properly, stains on pillow and bathroom had "memories" of previous guests. In the shower cabin we even found packaging of cosmetics that have not been thrown away by cleaning team. The pool is not very large and around it there is a lot of water which is not cleaned, making the surface slippery. Kids are allowed to jump in the water and splash everyone around. Saunas are very small and one of them was not functional. Food at the restaurant is average and we ordered a Rib Eye that was served cold. Breakfast was also average. If you wake up early you find a larger variety of food. If you come later, then they do not replenish the buffet. In regards to hygiene during Covid, I wish you good luck! Cause even though you sign a paper that you agree to wear masks in common areas, no one does that. Not even the personnel. Imagine how everyone is sneezing, not wearing a mask and touching everything with their hands at the breakfast buffet. The personnel act like everything was normal. One good thing: the massage. The gentleman there is a pro. But the price is very high: 300 lei per massage. All my complaints and suggestions for improvement with photos and proof have been presented to the manager. She apologised because this was due to the busy period they had before our arrival and we were offered a discount to compensate for the inconvenience: 80 lei. I believe that is not an unfortunate even but rather the standard of this hotel. Too bad. Not recommended.

Nice hotel but overpriced

Reviewed By Nicoleta D

The hotel is beautiful, modern and mostly clean, it gives off the vibe of new, the staff was OK, professional, but we have some inconveniences. -First we payed extra for lake view but it's not spectacular, not really worth it. -We only had breakfast here, which was good, but too expensive for what they offer. -Although the place looks clean, the bathtub wasn't clean. The soap dispenser didn't work. -It was a bit of a surprise that they don't offer slippers or hygiene products, but maybe that's why they only have 3 stars.

The hotel benefits of his position to the main attraction of Sovata: Lake Ursu, ca 3-5 minutes walk. Very clean, with big enough rooms and large balconies. Private parking is available at no cost. Also a small SPA with water basin, salt water basin, wet and dry saunas and massage (paid). The breakfast is rich with various foods.

I have been accomodated for three nights. A very nice place, in a quiet area very close to the city center. The room is spatious and clean. The kitchen provides all amenities you might need to prepare something to eat. As a part of a larger group we were very well welcomed here by the owners. I recommend this place as value for money.

Vila Rigo Sovata

Our accommodation is located in the center of Sovata, about 100 meters from the Bear - Lake. If you arrive by car, then by going along the Roses street, on the right hand you can see the building that reflects the typical signs of Sovata traditional construction style.

Good location

Reviewed By mixfz

Good position, parking spots, room for cooking and eating (inside and outside the building), small room but nice decorations, fine bed sheets, small balcony. Small TV, no hygienic product, broken light source in the bathroom, some small administrative issue. The minuses are negligible comparative with the pluses so it is an ok choice for Sovata.
