What a very nice Hotel
Reviewed By TeaselshivaThis is a family hotel and is a gem. The rooms are not flashy but reasonably roomy and well equipped. The welcome is warm and the staff very helpful and friendly [they also speak excellent English!]. Parking is easy outside the hotel or in their car park. There is a pleasant garden with a sitting out area. If you are bored there is even a bowling alley in the basement.. You cannot hear it in the hotel. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner was very good. The choice of dishes was wide at both meals and the food was well cooked and presented. In terms of location it is half an hour from Hannover, and about 20 minutes from Celle. If you have not been there make sure you do - its well worth the jouney. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel

Reviewed By david ca week at schloss bothmer was the most relaxing week i can remember. a time to enjoy the privacy of a modern guesthouse hotel inside the gates of a historic castle. riding lessons in a classic riding facility, bicycle rides in the magical countryside of schwarmstedt, an afternoon on the adjacent river in canoe (accessed without even having to leave the property, an afternoon of golf on a picturesque and uncrowded gold course nearby, wonderful home cooked meals morning and night, quiet clean rooms with privacy and charm, and hosts who exude warmth, sophistication, excellent taste, and, not least of all, a positive and appreciative attitude toward life, the environment, and country living. can't wait to visit again!! Thank you Frau Konigbauer and all the staff!!

Charming, little-known oasis

Just 40 km. north of Hannover, Germany, this guest house has all the comforts of home. Wonderful hospitality, great food, a small pub-like atmosphere, we enjoy our stay each time. Not for from the "Heide" or Heather that blooms in late summer, or visit Hannover, Celle or tour the V.W. factory in Wolfsburg or even Hamburg, yet stay in a small, friendly, family-owned hotel. We love to visit time and time again...... enjoy the restaurant or beer garden and friendly atmosphere.

Autos fahren fast übers Bett, vom Nachbarn ist jeder Schritt zu hören, das Bett quietscht bei jeder Bewegung und eine mehr als dreiste Wirtin, die ohne jeden Skrupel den schriftlich vereinbarten Übernachtungspreis vor Ort um 30 % anhebt. Das ist no value for money !
