Jesus at the front desk is exceptional. He is very kind and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Breakfast (included) was fresh and delicious ? Highly recommend this place. We found Santa Marta to be hot and busy, but placita vieja was an excellent chill spot tucked from all the craziness but centrally located. 5/5

Staff is very friendly and breakfast is really good. Get a room with Sea view. Also, make sure to go to the roof top bar and swimming pool for an amazing view around ! Get a few cocktails too !!

The swimming pool is excelent and the hotel has direct access to the beach. The staff is also very friendly and always ready to help. We were sad to leave… Highly recommended.

The view from our room was spectacular mountain views and could see the water but was not beachfront. They also have a parking garage that had plenty of spaces when I was there. I would recommend this hotel.

Perfect place to relax while in Santa Marta

It definitely is more of a hostel geared towards a younger crowd who like to have fun.... so don't always expect to it to be quiet. Nevertheless, really well-run place and great location for a Santa Marta stopover especially if you're looking to travel further north to Parque Tayrona, etc. The staff there are well-informed and always helpful. Gabriel, Jesus and Carlos (at the bar) were always approachable and helpful.

Lovely hotel in slightly sketchy neighborhood
Reviewed By beldarsThe hotel is lovely and the staff was awesome. There are a few pools scattered over the property, so we literally had our own pool for 3 days. Everything we ate was either good or very good, and the ceviche and gazpacho were special. Breakfast was pretty simple but consistently delicious. My only complaint is that the neighborhood was sketchy. Our cabbie told us not to be on the streets after 7:00 pm, and not to walk around with our cell phones. So that’s kinda sucked. All in all, this hotel is a gem.

The team are very receptive and careful! The room is comfortable and large! And the pool is fantastic! Your border is perfect to read a book!

What I expected from a 3* Hotel
Reviewed By keithhepburnAC Marriott is a 3* Hotel with some good and bad parts. Let's start with reception. The reception staff and check in/out is first class. There is always a Taxi waiting and the reception will solve most problems if asked. The reception area is clean and tidy. Rooms. Whilst the room had everything we needed I felt it was not as clean as I would have liked. Even on the first day it felt like the floor had not been cleaned properly and this trend continued throughout the stay. You could feel the dust and dirt under your feet all the time. The coffee machine was - well not worth the hassle. Would have like drinking water in the room even if it meant paying for it. AC worked. There is a small fridge. Safe. Iron and ironing board. Power supply and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was basic. It did what you wanted to start the day not much else. A mixture of cold and hot food. We dined in once. This was where I felt the service needed to be much better. Whilst the food in the restaurant was well prepared actually getting it to the table took much longer than it should to make a sandwich. On most occasions there were very few people dining. The tables could be cleared much quicker. Once we waited for our food and we could hear the kitchen ringing for staff but they were just chatting among themselves. So frustrating when they were not that busy. The swimming pool was being repaired the day after we arrived. Disappointing if it was something we really wanted. ACM is a good location. It's generally very good and does enough but with a better service in the restaurant. Cleaner rooms and a little more attention to detail this would be a very good 3* hotel.

There is a small pool there. A hammock is also available for relaxation. The owner is both charming, helpful and speaks good English.
