A great resort on a lake
Reviewed By ParadiseBoy909I was at auberge Lac à l’eau Claire with my mom, sister and niece from June 22nd until June 26th. We had 2 meals included every day (breakfast and supper). This hotel bordering a lake is just beautiful. Rooms are well appointed and the views from the balconies are just amazing (we had lakeview rooms). Food is simply delicious and the restaurant has also breathtaking views on the lake. There are a lot of activities available too (kayaking, canoeing, hiking, tennis, swimming). The indoor swimming pools with saunas and gym is spectacular. I would definitely go back.

Nature on your doorstep with creature comforts
Reviewed By canvasukFantastic three night break at this get-away-from-it-all hotel. Located on a large estate with lots of lakes, it offers all the mod cons you need but in a beautifully remote and wild position. Guests can use the large indoor pool/sauna, plus boats/kayaks/canoes on the main lake. Lots of extra activities that you can pay for - highly recommend the bear/beaver trip led by v knowledgeable guide. Hotel has bar/restaurant & beach. We stayed in one of the very well-equipped self catering cottages around the lake (local supermarket 15 mins drive). What makes this place really stand out is the wildlife on yr doorstep - eagles, vultures, beaver, red squirrels, deer etc. Wild Canada but with all the hotel creature comforts you need.

Reviewed By traveller-in-hopeThis is a peaceful chalet. Each one is set within its own grounds so you are undisturbed and the place itself is a long way from any made-up roads. The Chalet is quaint yet well equipped and spacious. You can be cut off from the world yet still keep in touch with TV and free wifi. The bedroom is reached by a spiral staircase and has a bathtub. The other toilet amenities are downstairs however, a little inconvenient in the night. Outside you have your own picnic and other tables and a log fire to warm you in the evenings (bring your own firelighters). The town, about ten minutes away had a very good supermarket behind the petrol station. There are three Chalets - the rest of the p,ace is a B&B.

5 bedroom, very private spa/auberge. All meals are included. All types of massage and bodywork available. Lakefront property, kayaks, pedalboats for the summer. Winter holds it's very special secrets: snowshoeing, crosscountry skiing, sitting by the fireplace, etc.

Reviewed By PanamalorFirst, the place is wonderful. Near to the lake, wooden house and beautiful village. About Serenita, we had a nice welcoming. The bed is comfortable, the bath nice and everything s very clean. But... We were suprised that the "Nordic Spa" was closed for winter. The sauna and hammam were extra fees. There is not way to pay outside cash (really ? in 2015??) Finally, the breakfast was ok, but nothing as expected (they were talking about local specialties...). We had the feeling we were bothering the hosts.

Definitely a place to stay
Reviewed By Edy DThe room was extremely clean, lots of amenities, very hospitable owners. Great equipment rental. We spent the day on Lac Sacacomie. Severine and Philippe are wonderful and very helpful. There is a continental breakfast, onsite bbq facilities, in-room fridge, so making our own meals was quite easy. A great microbrewery is just next door. The pontoon we rented was awesome. Very clean, easy to drive and it was ready when we got to take off.

Reviewed By Richard VI've been to many resorts and hotels in Canada and down South, but this place is something else. The details in every aspect of this place makes it something of a wonderland. The decor is simply stunning. The owners are wonderful and they explained that they built this palace over the last 35 years. A must see. Relaxing and quiet. Not the place to party, but if you want to leave the world behind, this is the place. As such, Internet is so, so. You don't get cell phone signals. But, this is a place to disconnect and just be.
