What a strange place...
Reviewed By ManaPetWhat a strange place... we have had one night in there in a room which looked like something taken from an old French movie. It was quite spacious, with many paintings around and beds of the type we have not seen in any hotel for about 25 years. Plus there is a strange smell in most places. Having said that, I have to mention heating and numerous electrical outposts. Not so good was the bathroom, reasonably clean but with only one towell offered for two adults, and an ancient TV set, which was there only for decoration and had no signal. The wifi signal was very weak and unstable, and the reception and staff really confused asking us questions like: Why do you want to make use of your wifi at night? . After midnight our neighbors became quite noisy and were like that for two more hours. Having mentioned all of that I have to confess we had a good night sleep after that but I am sure you will find better services for approx the same money. if you are not crazy about sleeping at the run down "chateau," go somewhere else.

garlic soup!!!
Reviewed By Brinkerzwe visited last summer (2014) and enjoyed a great meal; their garlic soup is unsurpassed, wonderfully garlicky, very very very good. I haven't been able to recreate it at home. The day we went there was a very hot one, but with a nice tall Urquell life gets really comfortable really quickly. We didn't spend the night, as we had a rent-a-cabin down the road. But friends of ours back home (The Netherlands) recommended this place. Herman's rocks!

Reviewed By NikolaMaierV Apartmán 21 jsme byli jako parta lidí v lednu a poté jsme navštívili ještě jednou i v únoru, protože se nám moc líbilo. Majitel je velice přátelský, příjemný člověk, skvělá komunikace. Pomůže, cokoliv vyřeší. Měli jsme pro sebe tři obrovské pokoje, velkou (moderně zařízenou) koupelnu, kuchyň a společenskou místnost s televizí. Měli jsme s sebou i pejska, což bylo pro nás obrovské plus, málokterý hotel či penzion domácí mazlíčky dovolí. Pár minut jízdy autem jsou sjezdovky, ale i sánkařské dráhy, pro děti, ale i dospělí. Nedaleko je i hora Sněžka, kterou musíte zaručeně navštívit.

Reviewed By jaromirk599Very good service, quality place, pleasant friendly people. Simple accomodation, good breakfest. Nearby (300 m) restaurant "U soudku" with very reasonable prices for good meals. Good beer as everywhere in the Czech Republic. 30 km off the skiresort Pec pod Sněžkou one of the best ski area in CR. You can leave the car (e.g. at place Velká Úpa) and use skibus to save parking fee in Pec
