Great Hotel, After a big day of product launches and training it was so nive to relax and have a good nights sleep. The Bistro Bar was great to have a catch up drink with interstate clients as well as a coffee in the morning. My room was neat and clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Nothing too much trouble

We were hosting a conference across the road at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse which meant very long days. The upside was returning to Rydges. The staff were amazing, friendly, and able to make recommendations of places to grab a late meal. They also assisted on more than one occasion with some printing.

Disappointing

Reviewed By Trevor97

As a member of the Accor club, this is only the second Accor hotel that has disappointed me in Australia and Europe over the past 10 years, The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the bathroom facilities adequate. However, the main complaint is that the hotel seemed like cleanliness was not a priority. When we arrived, (around 3.30pm) dirty plates and cutlery was on the floor outside the lift. It was still there when we left at 11.00am the next morning. The area near the tea making facilities in our room had areas so dusty you could write your initials. Carpet areas close to walls looked like they missed being cleaned. In addition the hotel was more expensive than most Mecure Hotels we have stayed at and had no restaurant or even a cafe, apart from breakfast which was good.

Clean and comfortable room

Reviewed By nyalpi

Stayed 3 nights. Booked through the Holiday Inn website at $240 a night (cheapest in the whole of Parramatta). A standard, clean and comfortable hotel room, as expected from an international chain. Really good to have pillows that were labelled firm or soft! Soap/shampoo/moisturiser was in pump bottles -- excellent alternative to small disposable plastic containers or bars of soap. Room overlooked a small park, on the other side of which were residential blocks, so quite quiet. Very good location, about 10 minutes' walk to to train station and Westfield shopping mall and other eateries. On a side street that is not busy. Polite front desk staff, as expected from an international chain.

Not worth your money! Stay somewhere else

I’m extremely disappointed in Meriton Church Street, Parramatta and will never ever return to this Meriton. I was staying here, prior to my wedding and unfortunately really had a terrible experience. I returned late to check into another room after my wedding, around 12 - 1am. I informed the hotel prior that I was checking in late. I stood at reception for about 15 minutes before the night manager arrived. As soon as he saw me, he rolled his eyes and was very rude. I had requested a high floor as I was staying for my honeymoon (I understand this is not guaranteed). He abruptly told me no and said there is nothing else available and gave me the keys to level 3, right next to the parking lot. Having just had a great night getting married, this interaction really put a dent in our good mood. Using the lifts are absolutely horrendous. If you have about 20 minutes to spare every single time you need a lift, then stay here. They do maintenance on the lifts at peak hour in the afternoon on weekdays. The staff are rude and when questioned about anything, they respond abruptly and do not care for good customer service. I really was hoping for a better experience as this was my wedding stay. Unfortunately we received the complete opposite and it is really upsetting. We did pay quite a bit expecting a great stay and we didn’t get that at all.

Interrupted Sleep

Reviewed By lc29042022

Not sleeping well due to noise next door the whole night. We’ve been allocated in a connecting room. The door which is connected two rooms together isn’t sound proof and my bed was right next to it. Noise was clear and very annoying so I ended up with restless sleep that night. Next day I went to complain. I still stayed in the same room and had a better sleep next night because people next door have checked out and no one was in that room.

Not suitable for families

Reviewed By Janine S

For a hotel with shared bathroom facilities, I wouldn’t say it’s value for money. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, great location for access to the train station and the staff are amazing.....but the smell of smoke from downstairs is strong, the music from the bar can be heard loud and clear, the shared bathroom facilities, no car parking, the accommodation access door that always seemed to be left open (which is a safety/security issue), and then the bikini girls walking around serving drinks.....it wasn’t what we expected for the price.
