Reviewed By lauracastagnetoThe hotel is not in the centre of Paimpol and it is about 1 km from the nearest bus stop so I recommend it only if you travel by car. Breakfast is rich and with good quality. The hotel is made by bongalows plus a structure with ground and first floor.There is a picnic area just in front of the rooms. The nearest beach is 10 minutes by walk.

Reviewed By Ugnele SCute and overall pleasant. Very small rooms and difficult shower conditions, slim shower "tube". The shower "tube" tiles were grossly mildewed. Bathroom doors with markings, corners not clean, would not rate this as clean! Unfortunately no maid service was provided due to covid situation, that is, it is considered more safe not to clean daily. Guests do not come in contact with cleaning crew, therefor I did not understand this approach. At least fresh towels, kleenex, toilet paper or other items could have been offered if the room is not checked daily. The main street out front is VERY loud in the middle of the night! Wonderful breakfast. Excellent location. Requires attention to details!

You can get some drinks in the garden, so peaceful. It's at the heart of the small town, parking is easy and you can walk to stores and restaurants nearby.

Great location for a quick taste of Brittany
Reviewed By Vincent MBooked a room with a view on the sea, facing the Brehat Island. The view is very nice and it’s fun to the see the magnitude of the tides. The room was very clean and clear, with all amenities needed. The breakfast is with very fresh bread, pastries, home made jam… The spa is also nice very clear due to large window and of good size, it’s also very clean. The location is perfect to go to Brehat over the day or take a hike to Paimpol along the coast, a very charming path.

Staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast is a quite large buffet, rooms are very clean and bedding comfortable. But best remain the view over the harbour and directly at classic boats, fantastic.

The hotel is conveniently located -close to the ferries to île de Bréhat and restaurants in Paimpol. There is a restaurant in the hotel but we didn’t have dinner there, just breakfast.

Noisy hotel on a busy road

The problem was that the hotel is on a busy main road by a roundabout so the noise went on until the small hours of the morning - for instance on the second night there were agricultural heavy vehicles going past after 1.00 am for the best part of an hour. It was hot so there was really no option but to have the window open. We took the buffet breakfast in the hotel both mornings which was pleasant but nothing was replenished so if you missed the croissants... The staff were polite but did not go out of their way to be helpful or friendly

Reviewed By CraigLyonOur third stay at the Maison du Carrec. Absolutely flawless, beautiful room, large and comfortable, incredible breakfasts, all home made. We had a family dinner there upon our arrival for 7, and the hostess , the lovely and charming Isabelle, spoiled us. All was home made, perfectly served, and we were able to bring our own wines, which is a real bonus, with no corkage fee! We will very definitely be back!!

Steep stairs, rooms well equipped but because so much space taken by kitchenette the bed was jammed under rafters. No plug in basin, now shelf in shower, list of house rules rather off-putting. Wi-Fi very hit and miss, not much use if you need to keep in touch. The system was very slow and sometimes switched off! Helpful suggestions for exploring locality. Breakfast ok but coffee out of machine and no muesli, thought price tad too much.
