The Travel Charme Kurhaus Binz is located directly at the sea bridge and only the promenade separates from the kilometre-long white sandy beach of the largest Baltic seaside resort on the island of Rügen. Reviewed By koneserka11Delighted with the time I spent in Kurhaus Binz last year, we decided to come back for a few days` stay. We were very happy to see that the difficult times (COVID – 19) did not influence the standards executed in the hotel. – Our room was exactly as beautiful as the one where we had been put up last year. Again, it represented both style and comfort, it was immaculately clean, with beautiful bed linen that was so white and wrinkless that everybody would love to have it at home. This time in the room - we were also offered free soft drinks which included mineral water – replenished every day. Breakfast was served in the hotel restaurant and was as delicious as last year. – With various kinds of fruit, my favourite Bircher muesli and a wide choice of smoked fish, sausage and eggs, to which one could help themselves – clearly wearing a facial mask. Another thing that had not changed was the fact that in spite of the size of the hotel, one didn`t really get to meet any other people unless they want to. It was only in the hotel restaurant that we noticed that there were other holidaymakers staying at the hotel, too. – This was quite important in the COVID times… Speaking about other security measures in the hotel, there were disinfections liquids at each of the entrances and the guests were obliged to wear facial masks in public areas of the hotel, excluding restaurant tables. – This obligation was tactfully executed. – Staff wore the masks, too. – All this made us feel a little bit more secure and confirmed that things could get back to what they had used to be.

Reviewed By NLilianaIt was all perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and the service is very attentive to the costumer request. The spa is awesome. The location is very central and in 2 minutes walk you are right on the beach. My only remark is that the tv is not a smart-tv, therefore only standard tv is available. I also haven’t seen international channels.

Reviewed By carin6125Very nice apartment, great location, very nice swimmingpool area. But for a couple without children it was a bit too big and mostly made for families. We love Binz and this was a very good choice with reasonable price for us. The breakfast was good but we missed some things like bacon and ham.

Mona Lisa apartments
Reviewed By JoParis10Central Hotel is located in the middle of the main pedestrian avenue in Binz leading to the sea bridge and it has a large restaurant in front. We stayed at the Mona Lisa Apartments which is 200 meters further and quite calm even thouth it's situated near the main street of Binz. in 5 minutes you can walk to the lake and in 15 minutes to the sea. The apartments are clean and spacious for two but it's even possible to use ask for a third bed ( couch bed in the living room). It's very cleen and everything is very convenient. The kitchen space is enough to make nice breakfast and even coock light meals. In front, across the street one of the oldest traditional restaurants is hightly to recommend.

Looks aren't everything
Reviewed By W2116PKabWe booked the hotel because they freshly renovated everything and the location near the beach suited us. From the outside and pictures looked amazing. Considering this a quite expensive place to stay, we were disappointed to say the least. The room was tiny, we are not big people, but moving around the room and in the shower was tricky. On top, we are in the middle of summer but had to close all windows during the night because there is traffic all day and all night long. This was not mentioned during booking. There is no AC, so we did not have one good nights sleep while staying here. Housekeeping also didn't do a stellar job. There was hair in the bathroom/shower that did not belong to us when we got here. Stains on the bedding that looked like makeup. Also, for some reason housekeeping insisted on vacuuming in the early morning hours. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, German rolls, cold cuts, little bit of fruit and eggs. Coffee was horrible though, so we switched to breakfast outside of the hotel after the first day. So overall: not worth the money for me, because I'll rather have a non-Instagram location with actual comfort over looks but no service.

Comfortable and well equipped
Reviewed By Emma TWe stayed as a family in summer 2018. The room was a good size, comfortable beds and bathroom. We ate in the buffet more often than we planned - the walk into town in the evening is a bit longer than we anticipated. The buffet was good if a little expensive. The pool is fab and its great to be just a few minutes from the sea. Parking off site was a bit awkward but ok. Service was impeccable. We'd recommend this as a good base in Binz.

Reviewed By espengeesThis hotel is a little different, The owners seemes to have a thing for the middle ages, and the hotel, situated on the grounds of the original Binz location is a testament to that. From the miniature graveyard outside the doors of the reseption, the stonehenge garden furniture arrangemet and the knights helmet lamps and gregorian munks choir chanting over the hotel soundsystem. Apart from that, everything is as it should be, with the exception of wifi only being available at the reception area. The rooms are clean, the breakfast buffet is ample and the locatin is pretty central and within walkong dostance of parks and the Binz beach and promenade.

The whole ambience is very warm and welcoming, just like the service there. The meals were of generous portions and were all very tasty.? We had for starters, l had the delicious bouillabaisse from the Baltic Sea and my husband the amazing tasting pear and celery soup! We both went for the signature dish, the Baltic Sea cod in a nice and crusty potato batter and on a bed of creamy mustard sauce! Very pleasant to the palate and filling too. For desert, l had a most mouthwatering crême brûlée and my husband had the rhubarb with sea buckthorn ice cream. It was an altogether very pleasantly experience there and well worth the three week reservation prior to our visit. Would advise potential guests make reservations, as spontaneous guests are turned away. This restaurant is one of the most frequently visited ones on the island, so as the saying goes, “a word is enough for the wise”!
