Nice modern hotel in great location

Reviewed By henlowboy

Fryderyk Hotel and Restaurant is short walk just of the main shopping area of Nysa. A modern immaculate clean hotel. Bathroom was stunning . room a god size . Plenty of channels , had 1 sky international English speaking. Breakfast was a buffet style with plenty of choice. Only minor gripe was bed had a tiny wooden headboard, not suitable or comfy if sitting up. A great hotel in Nysa would def stay again.

This is not to recommend, bad bed, terrible cleaning (if there is any?) no toilet paper, no soap or shampoo, bad Wi-Fi, breakfast is fare away from what they show in pictures and the restaurant was closed.

Strange arrangements

Arrived very late in the night. After reading all those previous reviews here we're a bit scared that we won't find this place. But it was easier than we thought - mainly because we rang them and got decent directions. All the secret is - this hotel is not at Piłsudskiego street, it's accesible from Podolska street, where there's a gate, closed for the night, but open by the receptionist by remote control. Nowa Basn is part of the bigger complex, of which the most visible part is old Lider hotel, propably one of the tallest buildings in Nysa. Nowa Basn is the newest addition to the complex, so new, it's not yet visible on Google Earth. Our room was very spacious, good breakfast. As we visited Nysa in normal school day in Poland we couldn't use the swimming pool (in Lider building), as it was all booked for schools. Would recommend, good option for one or two days stay in town, but you won't find any "special something" in here, just a hotel.

Cheap hotel with average quality (more hostel)

Reviewed By 147kristian

We stayed in the hotel for one night on our bussines trip. The hotel is on the perifery of Nysa close to industrial zone and very close to the main road. When I saw the hotel first time I was decided to look for another. It is from two parts - one is quite new with a few rooms, meeting hall and resataurant, second is typical komunistic hostel partialy renovated. When i saw the hotel from the main street it look like is almost closed (used as ofices, come rooms empty with damaged furniture inside, very old elevators, floors and walls. Finaly we stayed, it was only one night and it was to late lo look for alternative. Rooms not very clean (old painting, carpets, towels). All is already very used and also parts renovated (done quickly and cheap) are just highlighting the contrast and are dusruptive. We were looking also to test the restaurant, but there was only the personel, so we decided to go rather downtown. I can summarise that this is medium or lower quality hotel or good hostel. Next time I will look for another hotel in the city.

Disappointing!

Reviewed By Marek_ZG

Upon check-in my room was upgraded to an apartment, which proved to have little in common with the apartment standards (except for the bathroom, which was nice!). The weird layout of this apartment was that it was divided by the participial wall, thus ending up with two poky rooms. The TV set with the screen that blurred, produced perhaps 20 years ago, speaks volumes of the apartment standards. The ladies at the restaurant/reception were kind nad helpful.

Tego śniadania nie da się zapomnieć!

Willa z klimatem.

A First Experience in Poland

Reviewed By Majorchez

Traveled to Poland to help organise my son’s wedding to his Polish bride. Hotel is well situated in this very quaint town and is conveniently situated opposite a park. First impressions were good with a large gated car park and garden beyond the hotel. Lobby is nice with attentive staff and some speak English too. Room on first floor was large and well decorated with a great shower en suite. Breakfast is outside in an adjacent building that also has a bar. Now on the other hand despite the nice room there seemed to be no room service - beds were not made up - bathroom not cleaned. The fitted sheet was too small for the bed. There is no info pack in the room, no safe or fridge etc and we didn’t really see any other guests. We were the only people at breakfast which was (sausages and egg plus yogurt and cheese etc). The bar was deserted and shut most nights at 9pm. The hotel and bar occupies two sides Of the courtyard garden - the other side appears to be being renovated so there is a lot of building noise. It’s quite a nice hotel and the staff are nice but it’s characterless and lacks life!

Stay away

Reviewed By Natalia W

We had planned to stay at this hotel for 4 nights but after checking in decided to stay elsewhere. The staff is friendly but the hotel is gross. Rooms are VERY old and smelly. Bathrooms are tiny. One room smelled like mold, the other like smoke. Good location but I wouldn't stay at this hotel unless it gets a full remodel.
