Very disappointing
Reviewed By Neil-JasperThe hotel is very old and very poorly maintained. The rooms and bathrooms are very old and need refurbishing. The communual areas are ok, nothing special. The photos look far better than what the hotel does in real life. I was there in July and it was very cold. There is a fire place but no fire. The rooms have no heating what so ever. I stayed for 2 nights and only had a warm shower on the first night. After that all the showers were cold. The breakfast was good, the usual items. We had dinner in the hotel both nights as the hotel is quite a long way out of Mucuge. The food was average, nothing special. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would I stay there again, the simple answer is, NO.

Reviewed By Hank DI was recently in Mucuge. I stayed at Pousada Mucuge. It was a pleasant stay. It is not a 5 star hotel. The room was clean. The AC sort of worked. Hot water for a shower. Good WiFi. The pool looked very clean, but I did not use it. Breakfast was good. I was there to do some local birding so I was not there for lunch and dinner. Overall I would consider it adequate. If you do not speak Portuguese, then you might have trouble. Very little English spoken in this town!

Unpleasant Stay
Reviewed By EloiPepePoor and old room. We had to ask for sheets and pillows cause there isn’t enough for everyone. The guy in reception wasn’t helpful. Beds aren’t comfortable. Fridge was unplugged. Hot shower is no good. Breakfast is only ok. At least wifi reachs the bedrooms and there’s parking lot.
