Since 1830 Mora Hotell has been welcoming travelers to Mora. With its unbeatable location right in the center of Mora,overlooking Lake Siljan, the hotel is an obvious choice for many visitors. Within a radius of about 100 m you will find shopping, culture and landmarks like the Zorn Museum, the Vasaloppet goal, exciting activities, sports and stunning scenery. A short drive (15-30 min) you will find Santaworld, Orsa Bear Park and Polar World. Excellent cross country and down hill skiing at Gesundaberget and Grönklitt and lots of fun activities for young and old. Our focus is on wild game dishes and locally grown ingredients, gently cooked to perfection with great knowledge and lots of love. Do not forget to book a table in the restaurant! Treat yourself to a visit to the SaxvikenSpa, where you can enjoy massage and spa treatments, or just relax by the pool.

Reviewed By sergioavalosWe visited Mora Hotel during the Christmas celebration and the aspects we enjoyed the most were the service (they were super kind) and the “julbord” was also super tasty. On the other hand, I would like to see this hotel improving on the timing; the dinner of three courses was surprisingly slow, especially if one takes into consideration this was a fixed menu. I got the impression the waiting time was introduced for the guests to enjoy their drinks, but the problem is that we were not consuming alcohol. The spa was also ok; I would have liked to have warm water in the pool, especially during winter, but that might be my personal preference. Finally, there were some Christmas activities arranged by the hotel, but there wasn’t any staff around during these events; a conference room was arranged with some utensils (like paper and crayons) and it was up to the guests to figured out what to do with them. I believe this was the reason why the attendance was low. My recommendation is to come with family and friends; the facilities are nice and fresh, and the staff is super helpful and friendly. It can become very cozy if you stay with your loved ones.

Three very comfortable nights
Reviewed By Mingalaba11The hotel receptionist was friendly and helpful when I telephoned to make our booking. We arrived after a long drive to be welcomed with a big smile from the receptionist who told us he was originally from Iran. Clean and attractive bedroom decorated with Dala horses. Loved the book of colour photos of Mora on the desk. We ate in the hotel restaurant one evening - good value and tasty. serving ourselves from the buffet. I must add that the breakfast buffet is superb with a wide selection of cold plates and some of the tastiest bread I’ve ever eaten in Sweden. The hotel has free parking. We had a plug-in hybrid but most of the electric sockets in the car park were defective. However this is typical across Sweden and not just this hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

Reviewed By KHGH01Second time to stay in Kung Gösta Hotel when I worked in Mora. Nice and clean hotel In front of the central station. About 25 minutes from the hospital about 15 minutes from Mora centrum. Large room with TV. Floor warming in the bathroom. Good breakfast at06:30-09:30. Nice staff. Swimming pool in the hotel and Gym than one can use. Pleasant stay :-)

Every convenience and comfort was there with all the facilities expected of a deluxe apartment - even ski boot warmers! I really could not have expected a better experience with a very helpful host in Andre who attended to all my needs. The views of the Siljan and the mountains from the balcony were stunning in the sunshine I shall return but hopefully for a longer stay next time. I would imagine the flat would be equally fabulous not only in the Winter/Spring but also in the Summer

The food was phenomenal, I had told the kind lady I was Celioc and she provided me with gluten free food constantly and was very thoughtful. Mora life is perfect for families to relax and we were made to feel very special. Highly recommend ?

Reviewed By SabinasparInget vi kan rekommendera, allt kändes oplanerat och rörigt. Kändes lite olustigt att bo i ett mer eller mindre flyktingboende då övriga rum var upptagna av muslimer. Finns ingen affär butik eller restaurang i närheten närmaste blir ca 1-2 mil från boendet. Nej välj då ett riktigt boende i Mora.

Reviewed By Egbert MAlthough the main road E45/26 passes close to the camping, it’s not realy disturbing. The campground is large with places in the shadow and open space, with sufficient electricity places available. Bathrooms and kitchen are clean. The camping is well kept! Most attractive are the places overlooking the lake and there is plenty of opportunity to fish. Fishing boats (with or without outboard) and canoes can be hired and the lake is good for a swim from the small sandy beach. In the Vardhus breakfast and diner bufets are available or you can cook yourself. Unfortunately this year (summer 2018) campers in Sweden were not allowed to cook or grill in or on the campsite due to the extreme draught and the huge forrest fires in this part of Sweden. So cooking only in the kitchen, but the sunny weather made up for this slight inconvenience!

Central location but poor service
Reviewed By Henrik WThe location of this hotel is really good for exploring the city, but ... The rooms are very basic and the beds are all but comfortable. The service is in addition close to non-existent. Both my soap dispensers in my bathroom were empty on my arrival. I hence kindly asked for getting them refilled. The lady at the reception promised to take care of it, but they were still empty when I left.
