Lop Buri — a city of good people
Reviewed By Tony WI got my dates mixed up; showed up today while the reservation was for tomorrow. The owner /manger was only too willing to accommodate me. Booked a corner room — bright, cheerfully lit; glass sliding door for the closet — nice touch. Very pleasant decor and functional utilities. If there is one area for improvement, it would be the volume of water (for both the shower and the sink). Checked out the next morning; free coffee and biscuits in the dining area. Forgot to pick up my key deposit (of 200 baht). The manager / owner ran after me as I was almost at the songtheow stop to return my deposit. I was lucky to ride in a van from Mochit driven by a local, who told me about the red songtheow route and dropped me off at one of its stops, after finding where I wanted to go. (I said “Big C” because it was the nearest landmark to KP Place). Then the good man at the hotel; and the next morning, the lady songtheow driver and the railway ticket agent. Lop Buri seemed to be a city of nice people. Please be aware: the red songtheow takes different routes to and from (before and after the train station).

Reviewed By ChicanozWe came last Friday fro a night with 4 families (10 children). We had a great moment here. The owners are really nice and friendly, the place is chill, cool and relax. It's perfect to spend a weekend in the countryside not far from Bangkok. Thanks again fro everything, we will come back soon!

Cool vibe despite Covid

Despite no other guests or tourist, we met Noom the owner who was a cool, friendly and experienced “oldskool” fellow adventurer. His guesthouse and restaurant had a really good vibe and the menu was enticing than most local places. We’d love to be back once tourism returns, looks like a fun place to hang out and meet new people.

Reviewed By San33sgWell, in s mall town, please don’t expect international standards and you would be fine. Paid the difference and Upgraded our room to the rain shower one. Because the bathroom is something that is important for my children. The initial rooms that I booked (my mistake, I didn’t specify nor realize there were a few room types) were simple. But because it faced the setting sun therefore the room was really hot! It’s just for one night, I have no complains. Room is neat, simple, towels were clean (no longer yellowish if you read the reviews in 2016) Best is tesco is nearby, so we got all our snacks and drinks at the supermarket to help us spend the night.

Cozy Nice Quiet Hotel
Reviewed By Somphol CThe hotel location is located tucked approx. 500+ meters away from the main road, therefore, having a car would be more convenient when staying at this hotel. It is only 3 stories high with no elevator. Rooms are spacious and very clean. However, amenities are kept to the bare minimal; electric kettle, coffee cups (but no coffee or tea provided), drinking water, good Wifi, hot water shower, clean towels, refrigerator, and satellite TV. No convenience stores or shops are nearby, therefore, if you think that you need some late night snacks or necessities, it is highly recommended that you purchase some in advance. The BigC supercenter store is just a kilometer away on the main road, has all the major well-known eateries and also boast a movie multiplex. Breakfast is provided in a separate building which is situated just across from the main hotel building. The buffet line consists mostly of a limited selection of local fare. In summary, the hotel is an excellent value, is very quiet, but maybe suitable for just a 1-2 nights business stay.

Reviewed By Kevin SWell, this was a very cheap hotel with lots and lots of noise in the middle of the night. If you are a light sleeper, you will wake up. Otherwise, it is an extremely good value stay, especially if you go for the fan-only room. Bearable heat, and it will save you a few bahts. So, try this place for the "near-zoo-like experience", without actually being in the zoo. What the noise came from? Monkeys of course! It's Lopburi!
