Worth the climb
Reviewed By jantshieldWe had a room on the third floor and could see the cable car departing from our porch. The room had a sitting room where the tv was and the bed area was separate. The bathroom was spacious. The hotel is near the train station. Expect to be climbing stairs, but it was worth it.

Immaculately clean, very close proximity to station & Coop. Spotless bathrooms, kitchen & dining room. Not to mention the stupendous view from the balcony. The owner/manager Frances was very kind, knowledgeable & helpful. Would go back there in a heartbeat- & this time just sit in the balcony & take in the views!!

A beautiful, fully-refurbished Swiss chalet in the heart of Lauterbrunnen on the main street, just a few minutes' walk from the train station in the village. All bedrooms have en-suite bathroom facilities and most have valley views, with some looking out onto the famous Staubbach waterfall. There is a spacious lounge and a separate dining room, as well as an outdoor hot tub. There is parking at the rear of the chalet and free Wi-Fi.
Another fabulous ski holiday with Ski Miquel
Reviewed By dianelA3108SBWe had such an amazing time at Chalet Rosa at the beginning of March. We travelled with Ski Miquel. The staff were amazing, friendly, welcoming and helpful, the food was superb. The ski guiding was so enjoyable and enabled us to travel to the various ski areas without having to worry about how to get there etc. The skiing itself couldn't have been better. Beautiful surroundings and plenty of lovely quiet slopes for every ability. Another very successful and enjoyable holiday with Ski Miquel. Highly recommended.

The typical-Swiss-chalet-hotel (orignally built in 1671) is located in the heart of Lauterbrunnen, a three-minute walk from the train station and has a bus stop at the front door. 25 cosy rooms with different sizes, 23 of them with bath or toilet. Radio, TV, telephone, W-Lan and safe is standard, 11 have a balcony. Lift. Typical-Swiss-restaurant with open-fire (winter), breakfastbuffet with many local specialities, 3-course-halfboard-menu or à la carte, for example Swiss-cheese-Fondue or meat from the hot-stone!

Reviewed By cat564Lets say the service is terrifying. No one at the reception desk, so you find an envelop with your name and key inside. The room was not what we payed for and there is no one available to discuss anything! Dirty, leaky shower, tap in the bathroom, smelly bed linens. Plus if you go to the restaurant they will complaint that they are not part of the hotel but independent restaurant so no questions asked. Lift is not working/broken. So prepare to get your luggage/buggy/any other heavy items you might have upstairs by yourself. And even this information hard to get as no one speaks English!!! On top of that someone was there late evening knocking our door asking to help to be a witness! There has been an incident with breaking into the room on our floor. The police was informed because it was member of staff entering the room with their own key. We were witnesses. It was shocking, disturbing and rather terrifying experience. Afterwards we have locked and barricaded room from these perverts. Please run away from this place! I do not know why it's still open.

We offer free WLAN/WIFI throughout the hotel. Lauterbrunnen itself is situated in one of the most awe-inspiring settings in the world. Ideal for summer and winter vacations with quick and easy access to Mürren, Wengen or Kleine Scheidegg. Our Restaurant in Hotel Oberland is very popular. Our Head-Chef is Herr Raymond Kohler from Canton Bern. We serve Swiss and international dishes and we are famous for the quality of our service.

Reviewed By fooimanThe room we booked for 3 persons is actually a ground floor apartment opposite the hotel. It’s spacious, clean and has 3 beds. There’s a kitchenette and there are utensils and pots. Shower and hot water is strong and good. Paid parking space is available. Comes with breakfast and daily housekeeping. The location is very good as it’s along the main street and very close to the train station. Would stay again.

The position is incredible and options for adventure endless We visit in winter for skiing and sledging and hiking in summer with a walk up the Schithorn essential The facilities are first class !! And of course they have Barry !!’

We are a modest middle class hotel. Built in 1890 and put to a new use as a bed & breakfast; enjoy the charm of our landmark hotel in a friendly, informal atmosphere. Only an 8-10 minute walk from the train station, we are the perfect base to explore the region, close enough to enjoy the best views in town of the Staubbach falls but far enough away to stay dry.

Reviewed By MorrissH77840We stayed here in 2008 and returned this year. The location is ideal, with parking for our rent car, and easy access to the trams and trains. The view of the Staubbach falls and of the valley could not be better. We found the same restaurant where we had eaten in 2008, and thoroughly enjoyed two dinners there, exactly as we had done the last time. The hotel staff assisted us ahead of time in getting an appointment for a COVID test for our return flight home. It was just a perfect stay.

Yes it is outdated but the beds were comfy, it was clean, we had a kitchen with everything you need and more, a balcony with amazing views of the waterfall and mountains, a parking space and Angie! She was such a delight, so friendly and happy to offer advice and recommendations, couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The church bells could be a problem for some people but they didn’t really bother us at all. If we ever are lucky enough to return to Lauterbrunnen I would stay here again no hesitation.
