Reviewed By lmulletWe liked everything about this place. As some other reviews mentioned, the rooms were a little bit dated, but I would 100% stay here again. The location is great with easy in and out. Breakfast was good but nothing special. Service at breakfast was good.

Well Maintained Pet Friendly Hotel
Reviewed By Margaret BI don't usually review two star hotels, but this one deserves a good review. Most older hotels are not that well maintained, but this one is. The grounds are nicely landscaped and there is a grassy area in the rear with a picnic table. The room was pretty small--just enough for the king bed and work desk-tv credenza; but the bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean. I always look for hair in the corners of the bathroom, and there was none. The water pressure for the shower was excellent. The towels were thin, but they were soft. There is no breakfast, but the price to stay was reasonable, so I didn't care. There is no pet charge, but they do limit the size permitted to 80 pounds. For the money, this is an excellent choice. The front desk personnel were very pleasant. Yes, it's a two-star hotel because it doesn't have some of the features of more expensive branded hotels, but for the money, it was excellent.

Reviewed By drmickeymCheck in: tried to make me pay again even though was prepaid reservation. Room: large amount of spilled sugar and something smeared on desk. Pen and paper had greasy something on it. TV stopped working for a while. Empty toilet paper roll on holder on check in. Hotel was not very clean. Halls and elevators likely not vacuumed for at least a few days. Breakfast did not look edible but coffee ok. (McDonalds is next door) No one available to check out and I waited a while so I just left. Bed was comfortable

Friendly visit
Reviewed By Eric CThe stay was quite pleasant, except for a big spider in our room. We killed it and told front desk, someone was there in less than 5 minutes and replaced all of the bedding. Breakfast was hit or miss. Day one it was a joke, so we went next door to McD's. Day 2 it was quite a nice spread.

The worst night at a hotel
Reviewed By rachelrC9256DDI am writing this review at 1 am as I am awake from the racket that hotel personnel won’t bother to stop. We stopped here for the night to get a good night sleep and instead we got hell. We called multiple times to see about getting the noise down from what appears to be a large group staying there comprising of kids and irresponsible adults. I should have turned around when as we walked in to check-in we were met with kids running around the lobby with no supervision but I thought surely by 9 they would be in bed. I was very wrong. At 1 am there are still people running around and slamming doors and no staff to stop it despite complaints. If I survive this ordeal I will absolutely never stay here again.

(There is also construction) From the GM to the front desk staff this experience was OUTSTANDING! The welcome we received was second to none and they made us feel like they were truly happy to have us staying at their hotel! Personalities unmatched! The hotel is immaculate! The room was above expectations! The ONLY drawback was the stairway door which slammed loudly beginning at 6:30 am. We mentioned it at the desk and the GM made us aware she was already on top of it! Breakfast items were very good and hot. The lady working the breakfast was very sweet/ helpful. The gentleman, on the other hand, cussed because he said the place was getting dirty and we heard him tell the lady he was going to quit! He was the eyesore! An incredible stay and outstanding staff! Way to go HIExpress/ Madison! You stand tall and above the rest! We will be back and strongly recommend to anyone traveling in the area to consider this hotel! A true gem!

Reviewed By biedrzyk73I just came in. Staying one night. By a highway in wooden quiet area. with some restaurants, shops and hospital complex. Lots of parking space. Hotel is super clean. Modern design. My room looks like it was never used before. All looks like brand new. The room is simple carpeted standard 2x queen. I love window blinds, big tv, lots of outlets. Strong wifi signal. Bathroom with tub and shower, but no bathroom fan. There is indoor pool here and continental breakfast until 9:30. I'm here for medical appt, but i wish i stayed here longer. To relax a bit. It is just awesome hotel. And the area. I love it.

Reviewed By ChristineA293I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Inn. It has a verey bed and breakfast feel to it, so not sure how it would be with kids, but for a couple it was a fantastic stop. We were in the Blue Room, which is one of the less expensive rooms, but we liked it. There was plenty of space, and a nice bathroom. The check-in was easy and pleasant with the staff giving us a list of restaurants nearby. The parking was easy and it was in a nice neighborhood. I would absulutley consider staying agin if in the area.

Best of just about everything
Reviewed By Patricia LWe stayed here for a week & enjoyed the stay greatly. LOVED the hot and cold breakfast each morning, even though we were in a suite that had facilities to cook our own meals. There was something for everyone, including healthy choices like fresh fruit and yogurt, plus hard boiled eggs every morning. In addition, hot entrees too, and hot and cold cereal, plus lots of muffins, bread choices, bagels and muffins. If you were hungry after breakfast, it was your own fault! All the staff were very friendly and I enjoyed the respect and kindness from Alicia. Our housekeeper refreshed our room every day, even though we were told there would be no daily housekeeping. The man who appeared to be the main manager was kind, friendly, cared about the needs of the people. I loved being here and felt like I was welcomed and accepted. We loved the spaciousness of our room and the way it was laid out. My only complaint is that for me, I missed some of the channels I normally watch on Cable like Hallmark, TV Land, but managed to find programs I enjoyed watching. I will stay here again when I visit relatives in this area.
