Reviewed By dtinukGood parking. Disabled bays outside disabled rooms. Clean rooms, nice beds, and wet rooms in the disabled rooms. Food very good. Buffet starters and sweets plus a main menu. Breakfast also buffet style. Nice wine list.

Reviewed By StuartBrewerWe had planned a motorbike trip of the Auverne and needed a base in Issoire. This hotel had come recommended through a magazine. We were not disappointed. The hotel is well situated and the Hotel staff were very helpful and spoke both good English and were tolerant at out attempts of French! The bedrooms were of a good size and clean. The bar serves good cold beer. There is also a Restaurant on site called Le Jardin, the menus have no English and the Staff do not speak English. This is not a criticism. There is plenty of secure parking. The Hotel is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Issoire where there are plenty of shops and eateries. I would happily use this hotel again.

Reviewed By Peter WAs always, it was a relief to arrive at the hotel after a long drive from Spain (this being my habitual half-way stop). And as usual, I was made welcome and found the hotel clean, quiet and comfortable. Following a sound night's sleep, I fortified myself with their excellent continental breakfast before setting off again for the UK. Incidentally, I wonder what brand of coffee they use in their bean-to-cup machines? One of the best coffees I have tasted - and the all-in price includes unlimited refills!

Stayed common shower facilities bedroom ok as was breakfast
Reviewed By chris cWe travel 884 miles use F1 and Kyriad when we need evening meal without having to go out. Have breakfast early and start journey fueling up and on road again by 0800 from Dieppe to Laroque Des alberes Pyrenees Orientales where our French home resides. Been on lock down for over four weeks and have to complete an attestation daily and state which option we are using also now required to carry our passport. So all the jobs about the house are getting done

Reviewed By 255RobervWe stayed here on-route North. A nice stop in a quaint town. The hotel was simple and functional. We arrived a little early and there was plenty of swearing from the maid as she had to finalise preparations. It made it atmospheric. Prepare yourself for the early 7am bells in the morning. Not just one rappelle but two! Good for an early start. Some nice eateries in town.

Reviewed By jolupThis chateau and its interiors and furniture etc is a marvellous experience that may throw history and antiquity buffs into fits of ecstacy. The hosts are extremly kind and helpful. That said, the place should be evaluated as a B&B, and there I regretfully must voice some reservations. * I could fing very few fire/smoke detectors and no fire extinguishers * The breakfast is deliciously French but would gain, at least for northern guests, to get a trifle more "European" with cold cuts, cheese and boiled eggs * There is naturally no elevator (but I'm sure the hosts will help any guests that need to bring heavy luggade into their rooms) * To have something to eat in the evening you need to go out, and the hosts will gladly direct you to several alternatives. But do not forget to bring along your GPS navigator with the chateau's position securely registered. Or you might spend the night in your car, marrooned in the French countryside ...

Lovely hotel with excellent hosts
Reviewed By kdw72Booked in here to break up our journey back to the UK. It is a bit of a trek from the autoroute but worth the journey. Fred and Wendy were warm and welcoming when we arrived and showed us to our room which was clean and tidy. We ate in the restaurant (not many places to eat locally). Fred explained the menu to us and got us drinks as Wendy brought out something she had made as a taster which was homemade tapenade with duck breast, lovely! Food was great and service was fantastic, Fered is very personable so made us feel really relaxed. Room was nice and clean and we got given water for the night. Didn't stay for breakfast as we had to get back on the autoroute early on Sunday. Overall we had a lovely experience, the kids loved the food trying local produce which was fabulous. Hopefully we will return another year.
