Reviewed By dinoh609Great hotel! We had a junior suite, it was lovingly and hygenically furnished in every detail. Room service cleaned every day on request, changed towels, washed dishes and took out trash. They always responded to additional requests. The hotel is 50m from the beach and beach towels are included. On the roof there is a bar, pool and relaxation area. The bartender is very nice and makes great drinks. Sunset-view is a amazing from the rooftop pool. The hotel is a bit away from the center but within 5min walking distance. In general, the service of the hotel is GREAT! Particularly noteworthy is Victor! A great person who cares lovingly for each and every guest. He has excellent tips and is very helpful. We liked it so much that we even extended our stay by 3 days (again, Victor took care of everything). Thank you Casa Astral Luxury Hotel! Thank you Victor and team! :)

Located in the exclusive area of Punta Cocos, Casa HX is the perfect place to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the island of Holbox. Far enough from the hustle and bustle of the small town center, that you can enjoy the sound of the waves, birds and sometimes the beach all to yourself; yet close enough, that an 8 minute cab ride gets you to the town square were you can mingle with locals and tourists alike. Punta Cocos is the best spot on the Island to marvel at the bioluminescence phenomenon, happening just a few steps from Casa Hx almost year round.

As other reviews have said it is quite far out of town but they have bikes to hire for 150 pesos for 12 hours, which is a shame that they're not free. A taxi costs arouns 200 pesos into town. Hotel pool area is beaut. The free breakfast is fairly basic (fruit yoghurt and granola). 10 mins walk from Playa coco which is ideal. Great value for money. A quiet chill place to stay

Reviewed By HernanF46Excellent boutique hotel, the rooms beautiful the bed excellent, swimming pool very nice and perfect after a long day beach, the service were excellent too the were always ready to assist you, lgreat ocation off the noise of the island very quiet area, 2 minutes away from the beach, definitely I recommend this cool place !!!

Upon arrival a smell of sewage greeted us in the lobby and around the courtyard pool.This smell was constantly present.Luck for us our rooms were on the upper floors.The last night of our stay there was a thunderstorm , 2 of the 3 rooms had water coming down the walls.A fellow traveller told us he was getting wet in bed from the rain coming thru the palapa roof.

Reviewed By wecrushredOur room was perfect right on the edge of the beach, clean, and great staff! This hotel is quiet, but only a couple of blocks from the town. You can walk around the point, literally a couple of hundred feet, if you want some action, i.e. music, but return to a relaxing beach that this hotel offers. The bar/restaurant staff is who you come in contact with the most. Andrea and Luis are the best! Andrea can make a mean mojito, and Lazaro, the chef doesn't disappoint with his ceviche among other dishes.

Reviewed By Brenda FRoom was clean. Bed comfortable. Check in easy. Had issues with the shower but managed to get it going. The wifi went down a few times but this is common on the island Nice 5 minute walk to the beach. The pool was not available to use while we were there and the bicycles in the photos are just for show. None were working. So we didn’t get the amenities we paid for which was disappointing. Staff were friendly.

The breakfast was not all that good ans we could not get wifi in our rooms. sometimes it was dodgy in the public area as well. The hotel was within walking distance of the beach and a 20 minute walk to the town center. I loved Holbox in general as it was very colourful with lots of murals on the walls. My room was very large and cleaned everyday - thou it ranged from barely adequate to incredibly amazing with sculptured towels one day :-). I was unsure if I was meant to eave a tip every day as the standard went down when I did not. I left a tip at the end as is generally the custom.

Dangerous, A Scam and Horrible
Reviewed By GlobeCyclerMy husband and I stayed at this hotel for four nights. The following is a list of some of the things that happened to us: 1. An intruder broke into our room at 2:30 a.m. claiming to be running from kidnappers. I ran out of our room and around the property for several minutes before a security guard showed up. We found out the next day, kidnappers are on the island. 2. I booked a two-story suite, but we were put in a room on the top floor where you could clearly see that the stairs to the floor below had been removed and boarded up. 3. Months before our stay, I had arranged a birthday dinner of grilled lobster for my husband. When we arrived, no one knew of the arrangement. 4. After the break-in, the hotel arranged a lobster dinner for us, but the lobster was old and dry. In addition, the hotel charged us for the drinks and side dishes. 5. The walls are paper thin, the rooms do not lock properly, the front desk staff is poorly trained, and there is constant construction going on all the time. 6. They had a medical professional come to our room for our Covid tests, but the lab put the wrong date on the negative result. 7. There is no internet. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Reviewed By MLOCASTBreakfast include. Clean, delicious, good spaces and wifi. You can rest very well in this hotel, have a nice breakfast and move in the island with the right indications. The ubication is not where it says in the map, it is the last house of the street. Defitenitely a good experience.
