A stunning respite!
Reviewed By ingiepingiAfter a month and a half straight in the city of San Jose, I was desperate for nature, the mountains, and quiet. A Costa Rican friend recommended Hotel Chalet Tirol which turned out to be the perfect spot. The hotel grounds are in a storybook like setting with magnificent gardens and a fine restaurant with a wait staff eager to please and at dinner, live piano music. Our upstairs chalet room was so quiet that we thought we were the only ones at the hotel until we saw people flocking into the restaurant at for our meals. (see separate restaurant review). The room was a bit rustic which suited us fine; it enhanced the experience of being in a Swiss chalet. The king bed was super comfortable. One tip for the refreshingly chilly night– the electric fireplace actually works so don’t be like us to hesitate to ask the desk how to use it. It was hard to believe that for a 40 minute, $12 uber ride we were transported into, and sadly away from, a rejuvenating respite.

Beautiful resort located in Heredia Province in Costa Rica. We are 10 minutes away from the SJO International Airport. We offer you discounts on renting a car with Thrifty (Please ask or availability first). The resort has 49 apartments and rooms and continues to grow. Some of them are just a room, TV, fridge with a bathroom, and other have kitchen, living room, dining area, laundry rooms and more, depending of your needs. We count with 15000m2 of green area you can go and see birds, get fruits from the trees. We have a very nice pool with BBQ area. We also have a very good chef, so you can order food on the restaurant area or for NO additional cost we can deliver your food to your room or bring your food anywhere in the property like the pool. We count with a Hot Tub which is always nice and hot, it's open to anyone with no additional cost. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us, we will be happy to answer all your questions!
Fantastic place to stay
Reviewed By LeeLee883We came here for two nights after our flight home was cancelled as it was close to the airport. We did not have high expectations as we simply booked off of distance to th airport but we're blown away by how lovely this place is. As we were stranded by our airline we booked this very last min and sent them a message asking if we could drop off our luggage earlier than the check in time to save us having it with us all day and they replied saying no problem, and when we arrived they actually said the room itself was ready which we did not expect but we're very much grateful for! The room itself was great, good sizes comfortable beds wirh everything you could need from a serviced apartment. The grounds were lovely to walk around with lots of seating areas to chose from, a small gym and a good sized pool. We barely saw anyone else the entire time we were there which was surprising as we reserved the last room available. Breakfast was great, selection of hot cooked food, fruit, porridge and pastries etc. Lastly the service was great, upon a super early check out of 4am someone offered to be there for our check out and to assist in booking a cab should we struggle with an uber at that time of day

The breakfast was typical Costa Rican breakfast and was very good. There is secure parking for one or two vehicles within the property which was very convenient because we had a rental car.

We are a beautiful Sp. Col. house in the safe, quiet area of Cariari. Just 10 min from the SJO airport & 15 min to D.T. S.J. All rooms have private bath / ceiling fans / cable TV / wifi & some refrid. Welcome drink w/a boca upon arrival. All have nice shower w/ hot water & good towels. We are known for our delicious breakfasts, excellent staff & friendly warm hospitality. We offer Van service, to & from the airport at the going Taxi rates. Cariari B&B, Laurie Blizzard, and her side kick Miriam were so lovely accommodating, personable and could anticipate our needs ❤️. Laurie is a most intriguing, funny, and lovely character!! Being from Massachusetts in the US, was a great tie to Laurie....I felt right at home. She knows San Jose so well after moving here 20 yrs ago. Feel in love with the country and people.... how can't you!! Beds are comfy!! Breakfasts are filling and fresh!!!!

Breakfast is a sorry affair in a country where this is the most important meal of the day: no rice and beans and eggs for you. The rooms could use a fresh coat of paint, and the kitchenette a few utensils and maybe a coffeemaker.

Our amazing B&B la Tortuga is a family place where people can enjoy the wonders of Costa Rica, our house has comfortable beds, gardens, and a free typical breakfast. We are located a just 400 meters from Heredia central park.
Convenient and good price
Reviewed By Erik1garciaI found this place due to TripAdvisor and it is a nice location. The lady answered the phone and gave me a direction how to get there. The room is very clean and comfortable . She is so sweet and nice. I went out to downtown Heredia around the corner and I felt like a resident. I totally recommend!

A Pleasant surprise!
Reviewed By Rachelle AWe were looking at accommodation close to the airport at short notice and decided on Apartotel Don Luis. We were very pleasantly surprised, Diluna, the owner was extremely friendly, helpful and even arrange for transport to the airport the following morning. The apartment is well equipped, spacious, clean and comfortable. We recommend this establishment.

Great hospitality
Reviewed By 131gerWe stayed at Gosen B&B for two nights and really enjoyed the hospitality of Eduardo, who was very helpful with advice and suggestions for our 3-week trip with a 4x4 car through Costa Rica and who showed us around his garden and small coffee plantation. Breakfast was excellent. The room we had was on top of a strange structure, separate from the house, and had windows on all sides (which felt a little weird) with a huge terrace having a nice view overlooking the hills. It is an excellent starting point for exploring Volcan Barva and Volcan Poas.

Reviewed By Cynthia HHotel is in the center of the town. Very convenience. We see the room. the room is not big, but looks clean. However, owner asked parking fee from us. $2/hour! Even it is owner’s bargain skill, I am very uncomfortable about that. Actually, it is free on Booking.
