Not our first lunchtime meal at The Bull. I phoned to book a table and was treated very courtesly. The menu had a good choice, the food was excellent and served hot. Ben, Josh and Christian, the chef, made our visit very successful and enjoyable. Thank you gentlemen, we shall return.

Booked a night to stay here for a nearby jousting event but accidentally booked a double room instead of a twin for my friend an I. Although the hotel was fully booked the staff asked other guests if they would prefer a double when they signed in so we managed to swap. The landlady was lovely and helped us with cabs etc. The pub is really nice - a 'proper' pub and both the staff and the locals were all friendly and talkative. Breakfast was really nice and checkout was at a reasonable time. Bed was nice - I slept well. Would highly recommend and plan to stay there again at some point

This place is brilliant. Lovely rooms with en-suite and tea making facilities. Little attentions to detail make ut great with water bottles, hot chocolate and shower gel provided . Fab communication, extra effort to get items for gluten and dairy free guests. Breakfast delicious, hosts friendly, accommodating, got rooms ready for our 4 groups early. Great views ...would stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

The Dorrington

Worthy of a visit

It’s been running for years, lovely building but never really managed to have a soul to it. Inside, clean and spacious, good beer selection and Kingfisher on draft which is quite unique and very nice. There is a cafe part of the building, food looks nice and as I say, nice and clean. There is a nightclub attached but no sure how busy that part is if still open to be honest in the current climate. Accommodation is good, clean and reasonable with parking. We have put friends in here and they said it was ok, breakfast also ok and no complaints. Is it a destination, maybe not, but is it good for a pint or a snack, or to stay over when in the area - yes

Perfect Overnight Stay

We stayed here 12/9/20 - it was a 50th birthday present treat for me & my husband tagged along(!) - our chance to escape our 3 teenagers for the night! Our stay was delayed for 3 months due to Covid-19. Anyway, well worth the wait! Gorgeous house. Lovely bed linen. Very comfortable & clean room. Plenty of toiletries in the bathroom, & towels. We had a lovely night's sleep. Very friendly owner. Breakfast was delicious. We had fresh fruit & a full English breakfast (1 veggie, 1 not). Tea & coffee & juice a-plenty. Cereal if you want it, toast & jam... We would definitely return & recommend.
