Not relaxing stay, more attention to COVID HYGIENE REQUIRED
Reviewed By Marie Cnot a relaxing, attention to covid needed really annoying check in, we had to stand and wait whilst each guest was shown to their room ! u der covd having people gather in reception is not at all smart! the hotel was ok but not worth 1300 per nite, breakfast was fine but nothing special for that price would have rather a smooth check in, more full hand sanitisers placed properly plus considering covid , staff were not wearing gloves during breakfast service more attention to hygiene is needed room small for the price, not worth more than 750kr although we do not stay in hotels to watch tv , would have been nice to have had more 5han 3 chanels not very relaxing stay

Classic seaside hotel with simple and unpretentious luxury.Helene Badehotel in Tisvildeleje is set back in the summer-cottage area behind the town. It invites to relaxation and contemplation and the magnificent view of the sea speaks for itself. The hotel has 28 double rooms. 16 of them overlooking the sea, from Hesselø north to Kullen in Sweden. All rooms have either a balcony or a terrace, and a private bath.Restaurant that serves both in- and outside all depending on the wether. Danish-Nordic cuisine.

Reviewed By Nigel MOne of the most relaxing hotel experiences I've had for many years. The Helenekilde hotel is thoroughly charming and the staff were exceptional; very friendly and super helpful. The beautiful sandy beach is a 'stone's throw' from the hotel and a gentle stroll into charming Tisvilde town takes only ten minutes. The gold medal goes to the kitchen. Preferring a challenging plant - based diet, the chef rustled up superb dishes of outstanding quality at very short notice. Overall, the quality of food was exceptional. I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough. I loved it. Top marks!!

Cozy "old" hotel - great location and great service
Reviewed By Norwegian1975Had a February weekend here and had booked a nice room with some sort of seaview. The path along the seaside is just aorund the corner from the hotel. Nice room with private bath. The hotel is a bit dated - but that we did expect on this type of hotel - but you do see some spots on walls, carpets etc that could or maybe should be cleaned/fixed. We loved the possibility to dine there one night and we also enjoyed the spa-area one afternoon. Really nice. Great breakfast and the area when you enter with the reception, fireplace and seating areas is very very cozy and nice also late evenings for a last glass before go to bed.

My type of camping
Reviewed By Kevin KI stayed here during the yearly festival, Musik I lejet. I brought my tent and sleeping bag and found a nice spot in the shadow. It a very laid back and relaxed place in the nature. It is close to the sea, the city and what else you might need for a camping trip. Bring you own food, cause it is kind of expensive to by things directly at the camping spot. Just go for it

Reviewed By 451larssHi, Nice hotel in the city of Helsinge, it has what is expected and the rooms are decent. It feels a little outdated but other then that it was nice. They had a really good service and the included breakfast was really nice. The WiFi was good, this is a must when you are on a business trip. I will stay there again

Finding an umbrella when it rained heavily, for my pregnant wife and 3 years old son, it seemed impossible and without enthusiasm “they are supposed to be some here in the corner”. The rooms are nice, but not more. Not the most comfortable beds. Basic decorated bathrooms. Breakfast was good, we liked that. They give you an electronic key to go down the rickety wooden steps to the beach, pretty area. Easy to park, and could almost park just outside. No mini bar or fridge in the room, so better buy your beer cold at the supermarket Anyway, for the price, we are satisfied.

Substandard food and the manager from hell
Reviewed By 576henningsWe were so excited to enjoy Tisvildeleje at the end of summer. After a lengthy corona isolation, this was to be the highlight of the summer. The room we had booked was lovely - with a gorgeous terrace overlooking the town and the sea. Unfortunately, it went rapidly downhill from there. The food we were served on the first evening was simply unedible. The appetizers were oily and unappetizing, the octopus was slimy and chewy and the chèvre was soggy. The main course of beef was both raw inside and burnt on the outside, as was the sauce. We had to send both back, though unfortunately too late as we both ended up getting sick. However, this was just the beginning. When we tried to raise the matter with the management, we were not offered an apology. Instead, we were asked to pay for dry cleaning of an already dirty wall to wall carpet in the room. In a moment of bad luck, a glass of red wine had been spilt during the first night, leaving a stain in an already dirty carpet. The manager was rude and unpleasant, suggesting their food was high end and as good as NOMA, and that we were the difficult ones. We had paid for the room already from a US CC, but the manager tried to double charge us for the stay on our Danish CC; in addition, he billed us for the dry cleaning and yet did not cancel the price of a seriously substandard dining experience. Whatever you do or dont do, stay away from this ghastly place - its the diametrical opposite of “hygge” and a truly horrific experience.
