Reviewed By Henry_RomeWe were there in Oct 2021. The hotel was great 10-20 years ago. Although the rates are moderate, everything cries for renovation. The staff is friendly, no question. The restaurant on the top is so so. Nothing great. Generally I recommend to buy a copy of "Osterie d´Italia" and visit nice restaurants in the vicinity.

Very good hotel with amazing staff
Reviewed By tucanoThis is a very nice hotel. The building is modern, located on a channel between Grado main island and island of Chiusa. We had room No. 116, first floor, looking towards the channel, many yachts. The road is buisy but noise isolation is good. The room is very well kept, clean, everything provided that is needed. The bed is very good, so is the linen. Size is ok, also storage facilities. Air condition is working perfectly, silent, yet efficient. The bathroom is good, one sink, bidet. Shower is a nice glass cabin. Parking is on the side and is not billed separately. The grounds are not big, but landscaping is intelligent and plants are nice., so no sqeeze felt. The outdoor pool is in round shape and does not give much space for swimming. All staff are very well trained and always friendly- no exception. Especially welcoming the restaurant staff. Breakfast was good, good choice, good quality. Coffee is normally better in Italy than here. For lunch they offer wonderful and diversified options from small bites to normal-size dishes. From hotel you reach the beaches within 5 minutes. 10 minutes to the beautiful old town center.

But we later find out that you should order latest 7 days before and also you should get ill latest 7 days before, otherwise there is zero understanding from the hotel. One day after we ordered, I was tested positive for Covid-19, and even though I wanted to, I couldn't cross a border. And hopefully I wouldn't have been allowed to stay in the hotel. But the hotel not only didn't do anything, but when I explained the situation on writing to them, they continuously, replied in Italian to my English mails. That is both rude and arrogant, and considering the situation with myself being in isolation and ill, then I really don't understand how you can behave like that. Despite an offer of a voucher being used with a very short time limit, I can guarantee that I will never visit this hotel, and do not recommend anyone to do either. I still dont understand, if they dont want to assist in cancelling, does the hotel wish for me to come with covid-19 positive?

Post Covid Perfection
Reviewed By gastroskierWe used to come to Tenuta Primero back when it was a Camping, and stopped going since our family grew and we were no longer attracted to that type of holiday. We recently found out that Tenuta Primero was being completely refurbished into a hotel/resort, and so, as soon as it was possible we gave it a shot. We couldn't believe our eyes. The idea to spread only 135 individual cottages and bungalows over such an enormous area, made us feel safe and special, as all services offered are now in line with the standars of international luxury chains. We were given free bicycles in order to move around the resort, which we explored in every corner. The proximity to the lagoon and to the national park led us to extraordindary encounters: swans, flamingos, falcons and all sorts of avionic species. The breakfast has breathtaking views over the Gulf of Triest, and is of a very high standard. At night the Restaurant, with the same views, offers an awesome selection of dishes, whcih are beautifully prepared. The bistrot at the pool was the highlight for our kids. They loved eating their spaghetti vongole in their bathing suits, despite the weather was not too generous with us. The beach was perfect for morning walks. We even had a golf class, but I guess that we need several more before hitting that ball ;) The concierge service was absolutely lovely and organized our daily visits to various sites, including the Venica&Venica Vineyard, and a helicopter tour of the lagoon. All Covid measures were taken very seriously and we felt safe at all times, also thanks to the fact that the resort is mostly "outdoors". We will definitely come again, and recommend this hidden gem to anyone who wants to switch off for some time and recharge batteries. Oh yes, little advise, bring mosquito spray. Being in the lagoon comes with its benefits but also with its "inhabitants". KUDOS to the whole Tenuta Primero Team. We will be back!

For more than 70 year now, this family–run hotel has offered a wonderful stay to all the guests, in a cosy atmosphere, surrounded by sea, sun, nature, history and art. The hotel is located in the centre of the island, a few metres from the beach and the old historic centre. We are located the pedestrian area and we have lovely shops, gelaterie, bars and restaurants nearby. We organise events and small congresses on request. Small meeting room with big screen and Internet wifi connection.

Good brekfast and they do a deal for dinner if staying at the hotel. Dinner was very good. Family owned and all the staff were very friendly. Room very nice and comfortable. In a quiet location. Excellent and i strongly recommended.

Never experienced a more unfriendly host
Reviewed By 364PeterS364I can rate this place as "poor" only, simply due to the fact that, in my entire life, and decades of travelling the world, I have never experienced a more impossible and rude host. We even decided to depart early following an outburst of the - probably co-owner of the hotel at breakfast over the fact that we "dared" to ask for some more bread and mentioned that receiving "left overs" was not what we had in mind. Being put in the position where one seemingly has to "beg" for food is unacceptable as was the behaviour of the staff present. On a lighter note, the rooms were small, as was to be expected, but clean and the hotels´ location only a few minutes from the public beach in a quiet pedestrian zone.

Reviewed By abxyz2015Very kind and helpful staff. Pleasant hotel with a great location - near the beach, near the center of the town, in a pedestrian area, on the small square with big trees. Our 4-bed room was furnished practically (I only missed some chair inside, but two foldable ones were on the balcony :)), quite large balcony, minibar, air-conditioner. Very clean hotel; everyday cleaning of the room was perfect. Breakfast (included in price) was simple but tasty, breakfasts on the shaded front garden were great. Parking before the hotel for a while was possible, parking during the stay was arranged not far from the hotel (payed extra). Wi-Fi only in the hall. We were very happy there and we are willing to come back next year.

Reviewed By Nick HGreat central location close to restaurants and bars. When we arrived we had valet parking. The staff were friendly and professional. Good sized clean bedrooms. Some of our party had balconies. The breakfast was the best we had on our holiday with a huge choice.

Hotel Rialto is a functional structure, equipped with all the amenities and made with modern architectural standards. Amenities include private parking, large elevators, a rooftop sun deck with a Jacuzzi where you can enjoy a great view of the nearby beach and lagoon. The 42 guest rooms, furnished with extreme care, have a balcony, private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, satellite TV, telephone, minibar and safe.

Reviewed By testadiponteI stayed at this hotel while visiting some friends in Grado. I chose it because it was close to the beach, and the reasonable price included breakfast. When I checked in I also discovered it offered very convenient adds-on, of which I was aware but didn't know if I needed them at the time of booking. I took advantage of their beach umbrella plus chaises lounge package and I also dined at their restaurant both nights, the first night because I was tired, the second because I was impressed with the quality of the food - even though they only had a small selection of one main course, second and dessert, the menu was really appealing to me and the price really convenient. The room is simple but clean, the staff and receptionist very welcoming and helpful. The only thing I want to point out is that the hair/body shampoo bottles provided are really small and not enough after a long day on a sandy beach and salty water. But other than that, I recommend this hotel and will come back in the future.
