A Good hotel in a very beautiful surroundings
Reviewed By 647nataljamRandomly chosen this hotel on the way from the tough day in Buchenwald. The hotel is pretty good, we even extended the stay for one more night. On the second day of our stay we discovered the beautiful park next to the hotel with the mineral springs. Staff of the hotel is very diverse- some of them are not very friendly while others - very polite and tactful. Availability of free parking spaces and good breakfast, perfectly clean sauna and swimming pool ( which are empty these days) not to be forgotten as a huge pluses points to be added to the list of “+s” of this hotel.

Reviewed By tahkhengsoonThis hotel is located way out from the busy city. Nestled in the nature, it was refreshing to rest here for the night. The whole place was really large. Staffs were friendly and helpful. They managed to accommodate our family to 2 rooms that were closed to each other. The rooms were well maintained. We had one of the most sumptuous breakfast in our 2 week trip to Europe this year at this hotel.

Reviewed By fiolarStayed on with two kids in a family room on the fifth floor. Views were magnificant. Hotel is a nicely renovated relic of the communist planning era. Hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. At 100 Euros per room per night, it was OK value in this region.

Perfect for coffee time and dinner
Reviewed By MatthiasB1114Excellent for a piece (or more) of cake, ice cream and dinner. It is a family owned coffee, restaurant and hotel for a very long period of time. Always it is very nice to stay here for several days, riding with our Harleys the small country roads or walking across the hills. Every year we stay here 2-3 times for 3-4 days. The rooms under the roof are small but comfortable and nice. The hole family and the staff are very nice.

Reviewed By AvanSwietenStayed here for 4 nights via a hotel deal. The price was very good, and the booking included breakfast and dinner. The hotel is in the middle of the woods, perfect for people who want to explore the many walking trails. The hotel itself is pretty old and a little run down... but you can hardly complain for the price you pay. The room I had (a real single room, with a single bed) was small, but equipped with all the basics... and even with a tablet with tourist information! The bathroom is updated and looks nice... but the room itself feels a bit like staying at your grandparents. Old carpet, old furniture, old curtains... could do with a remodel. The breakfast buffet is large and well organised. The coffee isn't great, but the friendly breakfast waitress makes up for it. Good way to start your day. The dinner (3 courses, with just 2 main course options) is adequate. Not very good, but not bad either... just ok. You have to notify the restaurant in advance which main course you want to have the day after... I can understand why, but if feels a bit odd. This hotel would have gotten a 4 out of 5 from me... if I hadn't received a bill upon arriving home. Apparently, parking is paid for at this hotel (which wasn't mentioned upon check-in, neither upon check-out) and the city tax still needed to be paid. Would have been nice if they told me upon check-out, so I could settle that... but instead I got a bill by post a week after. Not so happy with the way they handled this issue.

Zimmer funktionell ausgestattet Parkplätze vorhanden, komischerweise die nächstgelegenen für die Angestellten ? Netter zuvorkommender Service Negativ: In der Bar Abends wurde schon 30 Minuten vor Ende die letzte Runde eingeläutet. Wir waren 8 Motorradfahrer und haben ordentlichen Umsatz produziert . Der Kellner strahlt eine Beerdingungslaune aus und verhinderte Umsatz für das Haus. Freundlicher Service bei ihm - leider nicht vorhanden.

Reviewed By Mike SLeider kann man das Hotel nicht empfehlen. Preis Leistung passen nicht zusammen. Das Haus ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer von vor vor gestern und ungemütlich. Die Wände extrem hellhörig. Keine Verdunkelungsvorhänge, das heisst im Sommer ist es morgens um 6 taghell im Zimmer. Die Lüftung im Bad extrem laut. Für die Duschkabiene sollte man nicht zu kräftig gebaut sein, spricht die Kabiene ist winzig. Sehr unpersönlich im ganzen. Nur zum Frühstück sieht man mal Mitarbeiter. Einchecken läuft über einen Schlüsselsafe und Telefon. Wenn der Akku da mal leer ist, hat man ein echtes Problem. Es gibt im normalen Hotelbetrieb keine Gastronomie im Haus, nichtmal die Gelegenheit sich Abends noch gemütlich zusammen zu setzen. Dazu muss man ausser Haus gehen. Alles in allem leider nicht weiter zu empfehlen. Zu diesen Zimmerpreisen findet man besseres.

Reviewed By P4304YAbarbarasEin ruhiges, sehr gepflegtes Haus in anregender Umgebung. Erfurt, Weimar, Eisenach oder Gotha besichtigen und abends in einer geräumigen, hübschen Wohnung entspannen. Wanderungen direkt vom Haus aus oder in der näheren sehr schönen Mittelgebirgslandschaft- alles war möglich. Vor Ort ausreichende Auswahl an Cafes und Restaurants.

Reviewed By Eric KMy wife and I hiked the Rennsteig trail through this area and stayed in seven different hotels and Pensions. This was the best overall. Clean, nice room though not fancy, fantastic breakfast buffet with a huge variety of choices. Nice secluded location in the woods away from town and not too far from our trail. And, it was the cheapest of the seven at 50 Euros. We ate in their Jägerstube that night as well, and every night they have a half-pension offer, four different entree choices priced at 7 Euros. Quite a deal. Plus a very nice full menu.
