Convenient for Cornell, but a little pricey
Reviewed By world tWas visiting the campus in April 2022 so we wanted to stay at the Stadler Hotel: can't beat the convenience of being on campus. The hotel is fine--nothing notable, but still okay--and the rooms are tasteful albeit small. We had a pretty dismal view of a rooftop that obscured anything but the tips of some spires, but we liked the Cornell-themed bedding (and the beds were quite comfortable--we slept well after a red-eye that morning!). That said, there were some gaps. The valet was hit and miss--I feel for them, as the cars are pretty far away, but sometimes the wait was longer than promised even despite scanning in the QR code in advance. The bar was spotty but fine for a quick beer. Check-in was not super-pleasant, but the check-out staff was very kind. I have read these are all students, so I understand the variance of customer service. But for these prices, I'd just expect a little bit more consistency in the delivery.

They are repairing the roof so there was some heavy equipment around, but it did not detract from a lovely experience. They offer a free glass of wine during a happy hour. The hotel has a very pretty setting and we would definitely stay there again,

Reviewed By acaidaGreat hotel staff. Friendly and helpful. Staff always readily available. Knowledgeable. Breakfast is a disaster. Even when you get to breakfast early things are dirty. Area where oatmeal and cereals are served is always dirty. The tops for the oatmeal and condiments are dirty as well as serving spoons. If this is stained then they should be replaced. Many breakfast items are not available which stinks when you get your room and have paid for the full breakfast. Many tables and floor areas are not clean either.

Although not on the lakes or in town this was a great location for visiting some of our favorite wineries in the Finger Lakes. The room was spacious and extremely clean and staff was courteous and friendly. Internet and phone connection wasn't the best but this is no fault of the hotel. Very nice hot/cold breakfast served in the mornings. The Finger Lakes is one of our favorite destinations and we hadn't been here for the last couple of years due to travel restrictions. So happy to be back and have a great "home base" to tour from. Many thanks to the staff at Best Western Plus for helping to make our return to the area so rewarding!

Reviewed By julielM6640FZMy husband and I absolutely loved our stay here! It had everything we were looking for, clean rooms, waterfront view, and walking distance to town. Nothing is overlooked, as far as any need you might have when traveling. The owner and staff are helpful and courteous. Another bonus was the friendliness of other guests as well. A fire pit and gazebo near the water is wonderful for relaxing and enjoying the view. We definitely plan to come back!

Great Hotel with an Amazing View
Reviewed By seidel21215The hotel is located right on Keuka Lake and has great outdoor spaces to enjoy it, including a fire pit. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had a brief issue with our first room not locking correctly, but Randy at the front desk immediately helped us and got us a new room that still had the same view. The continental breakfast was warm and enjoyable. We did dinner at the Keuka Breeze restaurant at the hotel and were happy with our choice. Our waiter was very accommodating and the outdoor seating was great, he also checked in with us the next day when he saw us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The staff was all very friendly and offered helpful suggestions when we were looking for activities to do in the area. Our only complaint was that the pool/hot tub were undergoing maintenance so it was only available 1 of the 3 nights we stayed there. Overall, it was a great place and we would happily stay there for future visits to the area.

Has Gone Downhill
Reviewed By rfische1We booked this hotel for a recent trip as we have had many very pleasant past experiences staying there. This time was the exception. The hotel appeared tired and worn this time. First off there was a slight smell in the room. The bathtub faucet was hard to turn off and the shower head did not adjust easily. The bathroom sink had cracks in it. The sink was slow to drain. There was a feather and spring on the floor that appeared to have come from the chair in the room. We needed to have some laundry done as we were on a two week road trip. The front desk staff did not have any idea on what to do about this. The good news was the laundry did get done well. Also the room was clean, though the halls did need some work. I hope this location is due for an update as it sorely needs it.
