You have a great view over Asmara from here. You can ask the staff about nearly everything- except where to find the bus station. I wanted to go by local bus to Keren. But a taxi driver took me to the bus station and I found my bus

Reviewed By eddyisuThe hotel is near the airport. I went to the hotel with my family, one month ago. The external appearance is very nice. The interior is excellent. Price is not extravagant, though high for price sensitive people and the locals. More or less I've had agood experience.

Reviewed By trevcoleThis is a very well located in the heart of Asmara. The Albergo is very charming and reflective of its Italian past. The service is good and very friendly. Rooms are a little jaded with a few malfunctions but the furnishings are old but beautiful. The restaurant also has charm and the food is good. WiFi is available in the lobby but clearly they are new to this and it too is quirky! I genuinely enjoyed staying here.

Really Wonderful Hotel
Reviewed By V4920GZsammI have no bad comment to say! Rooms are clean.The very important thing in massawa,due to heat, is the a/c and it was working well. I was very happy about that. Internet was an issue but also very expected because its like that everywhere in Eritrea. The owner was great. Very accommedating. Food was delicious. The penthouse is where I stayed and the view was beautiful.

Reviewed By franzsaffordI especially enjoyed Aronno’s service in the lobby Café. Some of the best cappuccino I have had in a long time as well as excellent service. I felt like I was in a peaceful oasis amidst a busy city. I also enjoyed the Italian restaurant for dinner. The food and service were first rate. The staff all had great attitudes and enthusiasm.

Best location, very quiet and very attractive buliding
Reviewed By Nigu2019My name is Nigusu Worku. I stayed in Africa Pension almost for 4 weeks in December 2019. This old Italian villa opposite the Italian ambassador's residence is set in a quiet street 5 minutes from the main street. A marble staircase leads to a pretty little garden surrounding the villa itself. All rooms are clean and comfortable with very reasonable price. If you are lucky enough to rent 1 class rooms at the corner of 1 floor you will enjoy every min of each evening at the balcony + wide space + very comfortable room. Water and electricity problem is common in Asmara but you may not be suffer at Africa Pension that much. Africa Pension has solar panels and very huge water tanker. The staff is really helpful and the rooms are kept really clean. Especially the owner of Africa Pension (Mama) is lovely Mother. She treats you as if you are her child. When I was there Africa Pension was under full renovation and maintenance. I hope now it will be one of the best hotel in Asmara which makes you stay lovely and memorable. And also Africa Pension will start breakfast service soon, which was hard for me (getting BF as near as possible)

Reviewed By EdinKrnicThere is not to many choices for acomodación. This hotel is in center of Keren and very close to Market and Camel market. For Eritrean standard is good but for European very bad. Staff is very friendly and they drop customers to the police station for check in all tourist separate. Breakfast is included in pice 350 nakfa or 20 usd

Reviewed By tkafulaMidian Hotel is one hotel in the central business of capital city of Asmara in Eritria, the rooms are very clean with running water and geezers in place. The kitchen and the dinning is well decorated with fresh air available, the security of the hotel is a warm well coming and giving good advise about Asmara and ready to help always, the workers at the hotel are very good and love to share culture about food. I was privileged to eat RAZANIA for the first time in my life, it was nice.

Owner is racist
Reviewed By SemharYemaneIf you are not white don't go to this hotel. We were having dinner and my brother went in the Lobby to ask for the Wi-Fi password when the owner saw him he said to him why are you moving in the Looby ! My brother lost it and confronted him cause he was not the only one moving in the Lobby, there were so many white people doing that. We all had to leave the table and joined the conversation the first reply he gave was It is my hotel I can do whatever I want , when we said we are gonna make sure we will go to the authorities he changed his tone and did say sorry. The funny thing we are ERITREAN and never heared or saw such service this man was being racist to his own people ! Please know this man don't represent Eritrea and don't go to his hotel we have to teach him Customer service is key in the Hospitality industry. I feel sorry for the people that work there, they were more apologetic. If you are not from there and looking for better hotels check out the Asmara palace hotel, Sunshine hotel , Alla Scala Hotel, Bologna Hotel etc anywhere except this one.

Reviewed By Isam SOne of the best restaurant in Asmara. Well furnished and spacious room. nice bar and excellent traditional coffee. good staff. Very calm area , need a taxi to go to Harnet street. Also SPA and massage center with sports center.
