VERY NICE SPOT BUT JUST NOT FOR ME
Reviewed By Terry MAny venue with ‘resort’ in its title is not my traveling cup of tea. Our group may have stayed here based on ‘best of’ in the area. It is stylish, the bar and restaurant off to the left on entry. There was piano music at dinner, a nice touch. Happy to have two keys so you could continue charging outside the room. Odd there was a coffee pot but no packets. The room was Arctic-like on arrival. I shut the a/c at night. The pool area is very smart. Peacocks patrol the grounds. A nearby bridge makes for good photographs. Not my style of travel but I can see why families, local groups and even businessmen would enjoy the place.

Great Hotel
Reviewed By randycT5143XIStayed here 4 nights for a mini-vacation. It's the only hotel with an indoor heated pool which was a must during our winter stay (early July). Room was very nice with a view of the river. Very ample breakfast - plenty of coffee, juices, breads, croissants, sweet breads, eggs, lots of fruit. On the mornings when there was less people staying at the hotel, they made us omelletes to order and other items. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Julio who arranged for our tour of the Jesuit missions. Met and made friends with another family during breakfast. Enjoyed our stay and will stay here again if we get the chance.

NOT FOR EUROPEANS!
Reviewed By reubeno698#Bad points: -Stay away of you like a nice cup of coffee in the morning: they serve you "Cafe Norte", which is probably the cheapest brand in Paraguay. They also offer you a better brand at an extra cost (first time I see that "low-cost" tactic in a decent hotel). -Also, the Wifi won't reach some parts of the hotel. Their signal repeaters are places near the most expensive rooms, so good luck!! -The parking lot has only space for two cars, so good luck if you are driving! -The attention is good, but your never alone. One person is always escorting you from you car to your room... While you're having breakfast a person is standing near you to aid when needed, whether you need milk, sugar, toasts... -Breakfast juice is not real juice. It's basically made of concentrate powder.... -The bathroom sink it's outside the bathroom and inside the room. Weird. #Good points: - Mattress appear to be brand new in our room. - Scrambled eggs are tasty. Although you have to ask for them, but they are included with breakfast. Basically it's a nice hotel according to Paraguayan standards, but never to European standards... In Paraguay this is a "boutique", in Europe this would be a bed and breakfast for backpackers.

Reviewed By Colcata45A strange location, right on top of a gas station, tiny rooms and bathrooms. You should carry only one piece of luggage. You should book one room per person. Clean. Breakfast buffet is very good and on the top floor and even with service. Cheap! Still I would recommend it

Reviewed By trentonmakesDe la Costa is a solid mid-range hotel in a relatively small city with modest tourism and limited accommodation resources. I arrived in a rental car, and appreciated the availability of a secure parking area inside the facility. I was assigned a room on the first floor (above ground level), and while it looked a bit weathered in some respects it had such essentials as WiFi and air conditioning. (Yes, even in winter the temperature can be warm with uncomfortable humidity.) The shower and other bathroom fixtures were all in good working order. The morning breakfast was more than adequate, and (unlike my room) the dining room looks out over the sandy beach and across the river to Posadas, Argentina.

A very nice hotel with great food!

It is true, our room was a little bit small but how much time do you spend in your room? It was very clean. The staff was really nice and very service oriented. But what really convinced me was the kitchen. They have all kinds of meat, fish, pasta, poultry, vegetarian food and even duck a l'Orange. We tried almost everything and it was to die for. The waiters a stylish and one was especially funny and entertaining. We had a really good time and for sure we will stay there again.

Great location but poor wifi
Reviewed By Tommy BFirstly, I'll correct the review below - it is not 800m from the bus terminal but actually 1.6km. still, the location is very good: The bus terminal is a twenty minute walk; a bus stop (that will take you to Posadas in Argentina) is only 3 blocks away; the main square is close and so too is the beach. The decor/carpet in the hotel is worn and dated but the room has air con and very spacious. Our room was at the end of the corridor and the wifi here was bad - which brings down the rating of a place for me. Breakfast was good.

The personnel is kind, bedrooms and bathrooms are clean, and the breakfast is standard but good. Beds aren't the most comfortable you could find, but it's ok if you're planning a short stay. WiFi is provided, but even though I could connect to the local network, it was impossible to use the internet.

Reviewed By ATUBBY24Hello this hotel can be dangerous.The breakfast is poor and allways cold with really bad coffee.The rooms are ok but on the first floor is no view.Has good secure parking.Do not use the in house food and drink service as is overpriced and they oftern keep your change.Do not trust the night porter as he is a thief so if you do need his help get what you need first before handing over any cash.Be warned the night porter will keep pestering you to have a prostitute which just becomes nasty and makes the hotel seem sleazy.For what you get is a little over priced good luck.No safe in the rooms.

Great hotel and good restaurant
Reviewed By AdamBilgyA 100m walk to the central bus station, and near to restaurants and shops. The Riverside walk is a short walk away. Friendly reception and you can get a 10% discount from the booking.com website price by reserving directly. Room was very clean and modernish with comfortable bed, good quality linens and towels, a powerful shower, room safe, minibar and mini fridge. Plenty of space to hang clothes. Wifi signal good. Pool area was clean, with good toilet and changing facilities, good quality sunbeds and towels provided. Breakfast was very good, with hot and cold options. Restaurant was excellent quality and reasonably priced. Overall excellent quality and value for money.
