Amazing location, welcoming owners
Reviewed By Ada VLocated on a hill, the view is just amazing, you can really find your peace here and relax watching the sunset (and the kids running around in that huge yard). We had the entire house rented for the weekend since we traveled together as a big group. The host was nice and made us all feel really welcome. All the rooms were neat and tidy and the seating area very spacious. We had at our disposal a huge professional fully-equipped kitchen. It was previously agreed they will cook for us one dinner and one lunch and I can say both were delicious. You can have a truly relaxing holiday here, having some promenade in the surrounding area is simply divine.

Disappointing!
Reviewed By 328georgianabMy experience with the manager of this pension was disappointing both from a human and professional point of view. - 08.08.2019, 3:06 pm - the manager confirmed by phone that he has two rooms available for the period 15-18 August 2019 and asked me to transfer the entire amount to the account he will email me (in general in such business it is not required to advance the whole amount, but I accepted in good faith being) - 08.08.2018, 15:11 - I sent an email with the data (number of rooms, name, desired period) - 09.08.2019, 18:38 - I returned by phone and confirmed that he sent me the email with the account details - 10.08.2019, 17:37 - I sent an SMS with another email address to receive the account data - 10.08.2019, 17:45 - I receive the long awaited email in which it is sent to me that there is only one available room From my point of view you are not a reliable person who does not respect his business and I would not recommend to anyone who wants to travel in that area. I am deeply disappointed with the manager's attitude, given that our expectation is that the people in that area are much more customer oriented and are building fairer businesses. That's why I chose to leave Bucharest in that area. Disappointing Mr. Manager!

3 Days Family Trip
Reviewed By VladColoI've stayed for three nights at Pensiunea Cris in August 2020, and below General: The other reviews about the permanent monitoring of the administrator seemed a little bit absurd at first, but unfortunately they turned out to be true. You had the permanent feeling that you watched. You didn't feel welcome and the administrator seemed like he's doing you a favor by tolerating you. There wasn't any welcome greetings, but a long list of instructions instead with what you cannot do. For me this entire "Big Brother" experience was a first and very unpleasant. Room I had a 2 bedroom apartment together with my parents. The rooms were quite large and the beds comfortable, but poorly sound proofed, so I could hear everything from the hallway and the bed linen had yellow stains. The minibar wasn't a real minibar, but a fridge with a bottle of water (not complimentary) inside. Bathroom The bathroom was quite small, without windows and not properly ventilated. This caused dampness in the shower cabin, which wasn't cleaned. The toiletries, as well as the toilet paper were of a very poor quality. You could feel that the towels and the bathrobes were washed too many times already, being very rough. Some of them had yellow stains as well. Shower The shower lacked a shower head support, so you had to shower with the hose in your hand. The toiletries support was missing as well so you had to put everything on the floor. The water temperature and pressure were good. Restaurant The food selection was very basic, the only side dish offered was different types of potatoes. The overall quality of ingredients was poor, at a discount supermarket level. In general the food tasted average and the waiting times varied, but in general were medium-long. There wasn't any international selection or variety. Bar The bar menu was way under the standard selection you can find on an airplane. As an example there was only one type of beer and no cola light and the drinks fridge was mostly empty. Breakfast The breakfast selection was standard for a 2* hotel. This was limited to eggs, two types of cheese, some vegetables, watermelon, pineapple and meat. The omelette was good, but everything else was lacking flavor. Corona rules The corona rules weren't really observed or visibly displayed. Except for a bottle hand sanitizer located on the reception desk, you couldn't really feel that a pandemic is going on. The administrator didn't wear a mask neither outside or inside. The same applied to the restaurant personal, from which only one person wore a mask and that under the nose. The breakfast buffet was located inside, where wearing a mask seemed optional an unenforced by anyone. No visible hand sanitizer located in the nearby, in a place where everyone touched everything. Outdoor pool The water had a optimal temperature, but it had a little bit too much chlorine. This could be because of Corona. The hand rails were missing, making the entry and exist in the pool a little bit difficult The music played in the pool area was from a local radio station which kind of ruined the vibe. Indoor Pool & SPA area The indoor pool was closed due to Corona and I haven't been to the SPA area. Tips The nearby road it's perfect for jogging. You can run for almost 2 km till the top of the hill and the views are really nice. There is a small black and white dog that mainly wants to play and he ran with me for the entire trail. Sum up: The location and the architecture of the guesthouse are great, but the services are below average and the permanent surveillance feeling kind of ruins the mood. If you really want an outdoor pool go for it, but expect to be overcharged and treated poorly. If not, I suggest to look for something else.
