Reviewed By 997matyldafWe found it accidentally and we love it! Hosts are so nice and they are also leading the best restaurant in which we have been for entire holidays. Room was clean and we had protection from mosquitoes. It was so close to the beach like 10meters and there was also many sunbeds. Highly recommended!!

Reviewed By V8424CLsueeWe stayed for 10 days and had the best time, thank you Nimal & Chani for all your fantastic hospitality, after speaking with Nimal and letting him know what we would like to see and do whilst we were there, he organised and arranged everything, and we were certainly not disappointed. We did things that we had never done before, like rock climbing, body boarding, snorkelling and riding elephants. Would definitely recommend and would certainly visit again. Thank you.

Cozy bungalows at calm beach
Reviewed By JasperToniWe enjoyed our stay at Ravana beach cabanas very much! The owner Ravi and the whole team were super friendly, we got breakfast at our cabana and fresh flowers every morning. The room was spacious and equipped with a fan and a little fridge. The beach was very calm and empty and you could easily walk to see all the fisherboats. Very impressive. The food was delicious. We would always come back and like to thank Ravi and his team for this amazing stay. Jasper & Toni

Quiet & clean accomodation
Reviewed By F1931TNthomasrQuiet and clean accomodation located directly on the river away from the noisy village. The staff is friendly and helpful. The promised kayaks and the fishing rod are not available anymore, bring your own tackle if you wanna fish there. The accomodation offers food but don‘t sell any cold drinks what is a bit annoying.

The CIRCUS Lagoon Hideaway is the first Bed & Breakfast of the German Stand Up Paddle brand CIRCUS SUP. The ancient colonial villa was taken over by brand owner Christoph Mantz in August 2019 and is re-designed lovingly and with great sophistication. There are SUP excursions offered, SUP yoga and normal yoga performed, or let's sit together in the evening around our barbecue and have a chat. The B&B has only 5 rooms, three of them have a small en-suite bathroom, but there is a lovely big bathroom. The big an beautiful garden is perfect for chilling and relaxing in the sun. Grab a hammock or a sunbed and read a good book. The nightlife isn’t far, but far enough to keep it calm and easy. Just a 3-5 minutes drive to hikkaduwa by TukTuk,

Reviewed By B3963URerickFound this gem. Our host was waiting for us at the Columbo airport and drove us to Circus Lagoon Hideaway. Kindly took me to a currency exchange office at my request. Excellent english and kind personality. The place is literally across the road from one of the best beaches I've been to. Super secluded and beautiful. 5 minute walk. We were able to have a morning swim every day we were there at the break of dawn. No tuktuk needed. Place itself was clean and offered all amenities including a fan and mosquito netting around bed. Breakfast is also served so hang around for this. Host has many good relations with local businesses such as surf instructors or restaurants etc. so be sure to ask for a hook up.

We are a family runned guesthouse with 6 rooms, in Dodanduwa close to Hikkaduwa. Located in a quiet area, 300 meters from Dodanduwa railway station and 100 meters from bus stand. We have private beach acces, so the beach is all yours to enjoy. Close to Galle, Unawatuna and Mirissa, perfect for a day out. We are the perfect guesthouse to explore southern Sri Lanka and her beauty.

Unser Zimmer hatte 2 Betten. Frühstück eher Continental,auf Wunsch gabs auch Sri Lanka Frühstück. Abendessen suuuuper.Hier kocht der Vater !! :) Das Personal, die Söhne hilfsbreit und immer freundlich.Vielen Dank nochmal an Rhange und Familie ....und dann nochn Highlight ist der Strand....einsam , sauber, ruhig,,, einfach traumhaft !!

Truly Excellent - even in the monsoon,
Reviewed By BurscuThree weeks in Sri Lanka, exploring one small area and enjoying the warmth, the welcome and wonderful small pleasures. TBGV is a Victorian planter’s villa with rooms around an open-air central plunge pool, a terrace where you can sit in sun or shade and even be outside sheltered from the rain. There’s a long garden down to the beach with a coconut grove, many plants and an abundance of flora and fauna. You’re in a village a few meters from the bus to Hikkaduwa to the north and Galle in the south. There’s a lagoon where you can canoe, a small fishing harbor and in 30 minutes you can be in gorgeous Galle probably the most interesting and picturesque city on the island. Claude and Lasandika together with Gendarme their Belgian Shepherd guard dog welcome you to a genuinely Sri Lankan experience, multi-cultural, multi-lingual and multi-faceted. They can offer you lovely, healthy food, extensive knowledge and the means to acquire more (yes, you are connected!). You can sit out and savor the multitudinous fruits of the Sri Lankan climate, walk helmeted and carefully (we were there in the season of the falling coconut) through the trees and then learn how to husk, de-fibre and remove the flesh or just savor the delights of pre-prepared coconut juice and fruit. A lovely sandy beach is less than 200 meters away, with romantic sunset walks and swimming (just not during the monsoon). After your walk the pool invites as it does after you’ve been shopping, sightseeing or just got out of bed! Perfect relaxation as it is less than 4m long! Although some people have been known to do aqua-Zumba which Lasandika will lead. Claude can take to down a more meditative path, if you so wish. I sat watching and photographing the birds, squirrels and other wildlife, trying to spot the civet, preventing a bat from stealing my banana, and trying not to frighten an iguana. It rained pretty much every day we were there, but you soon realise that, in the Sri Lankan climate, anything is possible so long as you have an umbrella and TBGV has a plethora of them. In the other seasons the sun shines and brollie’s become parasols! With tuk-tuks galore, racing buses, Uber taxis, all incredibly cheap; getting out to see the sights, having a wonderful meal in a beachside restaurant, or watching the cricket in Galle are all easily in reach. TBGV is a wonderful place to visit, I was never bored, even when it rained all day. Our hosts were there when it mattered and invisible when it didn’t. For 2 nights or 22 you won’t do much better than stay with Claude and Lasandika!
