Stayed over night here before we went on to the Pantanal. Nice city centre hotel. We had a high floor room, the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up! Nice breakfast too. We didn't eat in the hotel as we found a nice restaurant around the corner.

Just a regular hotel. But everything was clean and nice. There is a restaurant downstairs also. Very easy to get to from the Cuiaba airport, I actually just walked to there. Just have to cross a busy road. But I didn't have much luggage. So was easy. Awesome breakfast. Lot of variety. Very good coffee. No negatives. Perfect place to stay if you are on the way in/out of Pantanal and need to get from/to the airport

Very nice comfortable hotel. I stayed before and after a Pantanal trip. I liked the small swimming pool and restaurant bar terrace and gardens. The staff all seemed very professional and friendly. The food both in the restaurant and outside bar area was very good. Had a very nice enjoyable stay.

Nice hotel but no one speaks Engish at all

Reviewed By W1ntersun

Room is nice and quiet despite having single pane windows. Lots of space and places to unpack luggae and keep it all organized. Lots of 110 volt outlets throughout the room. Room service food is very good but we had to talk the menu to the front desk and point to pictures as no one in room service speaks English. AC is underpowered but after a couple hours it had cooled the room sufficiently. It is very quiet which is a big plus. Bed is OK but very soft mattress. Fridge is adequate so long as you remove the bottled water they stock it with beforehand. Bottled water is important as public water in Brazil is not safe to drink and so we also avoided the ice from the machines in the hotel. No bath soap or shampoo or conditioner so bring your own from home. They provide a hair dryer in every room which is rare in Brazil. The room also had a clothes iron. Instant coffee and a water heater is in the room along with styrofoam cups. Brazil is strange when it comes to coffee where it is often not available at all or only with dinner and not with breakfast. Full size safe in the room that is large enough to hold a netbook or two and other items. No shuttle to the airport but you can pay $R 50 to go in a private shuttle van or take a taxi. There is a Wal-Mart type of store directly across the highway as well as a Brazilian Burger King.

Great staff

Reviewed By Winter_wonderlands

Staff stand out as being really great, I had an injured foot and they helped me with everything I asked for and were very friendly. Gym is really well equiped. Food is good. Rooms are slightly dated, sheets are ok but not luxury quality, bed is comfortable. Pool area is clean and comfortable. Would have been good to have a staff member at the pool area to buy drinks and order food from, but I eventually found someone to help. Also can only buy very small water bottles which is a waste of plastic, the hotel should have 1.5l bottles available to purchase. There is no ventilation in the hallways so it is very uncomfortable waiting for an elevator (there are only 2 for a 12 floor building so there can be a long wait).

A very basic hotel

Reviewed By SurreyUmbrella

We had 2 nights here en route to the Amazon and another on the way back. The rooms were OK but a bit tired-looking. The first time we stayed, our room had a king size bed and a single. In order to squeeze in the the single bed in, the king had been pushed up against the wall. Neither of us wanted to be up against the wall so we slept separately. Both beds were comfortable but the sheets on both were too small and couldn't be properly tucked in at the sides or top or bottom so during the night they bunched up uncomfortably in the middle of the beds. Why do hotels do this? I wouldn't have thought they would save much money but it certainly gives a negative impression. For our second stay the room was bigger and there was room all the way around the bed. The food in the restaurant was OK but we had to ask far menu in English. The breakfast was the usual fare. The big disappointment was that the restaurant doesn't open on Sundays so we were left without an option for eating. Reception gave me a menu for a local takeaway (Deck avenida) who deliver but in the end we went there to eat. I have travelled extensively and have never before come across a hotel that closes its restaurant on any day of the week. Otherwise the hotel was fine for a quick stopover but I wouldn't want stay much longer.
