Iaki Conference and Spa Hotel is one of the most important hotels on the Romanian coast, due to its long tradition, history and the quality of services offered. Opened in 1959 under the name of Yalta and then renamed Bucharest Hotel, it's the oldest hotel in Mamaia, a place frequented throughout history by the personalities of time. In 1999, Bucharest Hotel changed its owner, being bought by the great football player, Gheorghe Hagi. After renovation, Iaki Conference and Spa Hotel reopened its gates and regained its glory, becoming one of the most iconic hotels on our coast. New Splendid Hotel & Spa – Adults Only (+16) was opened in Spring 2016 as an extension of the renowned Splendid Hotel 4* Mamaia. The complex is located in the northern part of the resort, on the Lake Siutghiol shore, 200 meters from the Black Sea beach. Rooms facilities include air-conditioning system, heating, LCD with cable channels, minibar and safe deposit box. The stylish bathrooms are equipped with bath and/ or shower, hairdryer, toiletries, slippers and bathrobe. Most rooms have balconies, some of them offering a beautiful view of Siutghiol Lake. Hotel guests can benefit, for an additional cost, of a wellness center consists of an indoor swimming pool with whirlpool area, dry sauna, wet sauna, emotional shower, ice fountain and a relaxation area; massage services are available by appointment notice. The complex has a conference room with a capacity of 50 seats, fully equipped. The hotel and wellness center are focused exclusively on adults and children up to 16 years old. The restaurant, reception and lobby are shared with Splendid Hotel 4*. WiFi is free throughout the hotel. We provide an on site spacious parking, free for our guests. The hotel is located 1 km from the clubs in the northern resort area, 2.5 km from the aqua park, 10 km from Constanta train station and 24 km from Mihail Kogalniceanu Airport.

Not a 5 star hotel !!!
Reviewed By TravelerAug21How can be this a 5 star hotel? My husband and I stayed between 10 - 15 August. The rooms are so small with old furniture and old bathrooms. No special “touch” or design to welcome you as in any other 5 star hotels. The beach was enlarged with a sand full of shells and debris: - you can’t walk with bare feet. - you need to walk another 200 meters before reaching the sea. The chaise lounges were not big and mattresses were dirty. The cleaners did not check or forgot to supply the bathroom with toilet paper. The only positive review or feedback I can give is for the reception and restaurant staff: all of these people were very friendly, with great attitude and always ready to “serve” the customers. Breakfasts and lunches were very good. Note: For the same amount of money you can enjoy a real vacation in Punta Cana / Iberostar Grand Hotel and Spa ( all inclusive with huge variety of food and drinks with fine sand, blue / turquoise crystal water and wide beautiful clean beach)

A tourist trag at a fake 5 star level!
Reviewed By alexhL133EUThis hotel claims to have 5 stars, a casino and advertises the accommodation as "Adults only". None of this has anything to do with reality. During our 7-day stay, the casino, if you can call it that, was never in operation. At breakfast, children and teenagers were regularly present. But these are the least of the problems. The hotel advertises that it has 3 restaurants "on site". This is simply a lie. The nearest restaurant is 200m away as the crow flies, about a 5 minute walk, passing numerous garbage dumps in the bushes in front of the hotel and the barracks of some hotel employees. Inside the hotel there is only a sparse breakfast at which even on all days the butter was missing. The answer of the waitress was that there is butter only on request. In addition to one type of toast, there was another type of roll next to it. The paper cups next to the coffee machine make further explanations unnecessary. Room service does not exist, although it is obligatory for receiving 5 stars in Romania, just like a restaurant. The reception is manned for a maximum of 30% of the day, if you are lucky and ring the bell, a receptionist illuminated by a smartphone emerges from a dark corner in the non-functional casino and makes herself comfortable at the reception. The level of the entire staff is not even suitable for a mountain lodge, although they have no problem raising their voice to the guest. On the second day at 18:00 a heavy cabinet door with mirror came loose and crashed next to me on the wall, the problem was fixed only the next morning. A clogged toilet was fixed at 24h at night, because according to the receptionist she is not allowed to let the handyman into the room when the guest is not in the room - I wonder what laws the cleaning lady breaks every day when she cleans. After waiting half an hour for the handyman in the room, we went to the table where we had reserved. In the description of our room on Booking, there was supposed to be a fireplace, as well as a coffee maker and a microwave. None of this was in the two rooms we occupied. ...when asked, we were directed to the coffee maker in the lounge. As for the facilities/activities described, such as table tennis, tennis court, etc., one must know that none of these are in or near the hotel, but that the facilities of neighboring hotels of the same owner are located 200-300m away and about 10 walking distance. The hotel owner has in 200-300m distance still 3 hotels, which together offer these facilities. Apart from the fact that this is in my eyes a deliberate deception comes to the fact that the other hotels and thus the offered areas are by no means "Adults only". That is the scam behind it. The so-called private beach is not managed by the hotel, The majority of the people who are there are not staying in the hotel and reserve sunbeds and umbrellas there for cash. The hotel has an indoor pool, which is located in the breakfast room or in the casino (everything is an open space). When asked, we were told that the pool is here only for esthetic reasons. The atmosphere in the hotel with the always extremely dimmed light (I recommend taking a flashlight) inevitably reminds of a nightclub. The quality of the work done including the painting is pathetic, our balcony was still full of paint stains so the spider webs are not even noticeable. The door frame on our room door was broken out on one side. Caution: The photos they show at Booking for a double room do not match. They use photos from suites. FYI, the hotel is only 3 years old. According to the regulations for receiving stars that exist here in the country, this hotel does not even meet the standard of 3 stars. By the way, none of the complaints we reported elicited a response from the manager, who was present intermittently every day. They claim they have a garden and a terrace: the garden is missing, but from the room you have a view of garbage dumps and barracks in which employees live. The terrace is a joke, apart from the fact that no one spends time there, because from a nearby canal permanently unbearable odors perfume the terrace. Please check the photos of our towels we received, too. We left with a pleasure!

Reviewed By grosanulI’m on this hotel with my family for the 4 ‘th or 5 ‘th but this time is the worst serving restaurant stuff. They are very rood . Clear is Roumania !!!!!!!! Please don’t come to this hotel you’ll be sorry !!!! So you stay in this hotel and you want to eat outside ( and you see they have a lot of empty tables ) and they say you need to do a reservation to eat outside !!!!! It is not posible to be guest of the hotel and for them to be priority the outside people for the restaurant ( and i allways have at least 120 euro for a table cost !!!! ) please don’t gobto this hotel !!!

The taste was magnificent! 10+ or 6 star from 5 ?? The young lady who served us brought us a small appetizer, from the house, a few bruschettas before ordering. Very nicely arranged, tasty and well served. Everything to the superlative!

Pleasant stay in Constanta

And also the phone is a piece of art and such a curiosity to understand for our boy. The location was also perfect for us as there is a walking distance (15-20 mins) from the old city, museums... The hotel looks very nice at the interior and it's a pleasure to take a little tour of it. I loved the interior of the hotel and the way it was decorated. Also did my kiddo :) There is a parking lot in front of the hotel. It is true that it's a little bit small, but it's perfect for a city center parking lot. In the room there is a minibar, 2 glasses of beer, a kettle, but nothing else more. No tea, no coffee, no cups. We stayed from Friday evening till Sunday. During our stay nobody took our garbage out. We also had some issues with the breakfast on Saturday, but the things got better on Sunday. If you order coffee and want to take it in the room and enjoy on the balcony, you have to pay an extra tax of room service. We were prepared of having a noisy room as the hotel is in the center of the city, on a large boulevard. But we also had noise coming from the rooms near us. The people were talking and it was as they were in our room, with us. Taking into consideration the location, the cleanliness and the hope that the things will get better, I would give it another try.
