Beautiful property right by the ocean - a great place to relax
Reviewed By danielleparker_auWe absolutely loved our stay at Villa Beach Palm Cove. The location was perfect for us being in a quiet area right by the beach and being a 15 min walk along the beach to the main drag of Palm Cove. We found it to be a really great spot to base ourselves between Cairns & Port Douglas. It’s also just down the road from Coles as well as a petrol station, bottle shop, chemist & takeaway shops. Our 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious and the beds very comfortable. The best part though is the view from the balconies. We had two balconies - one overlooking the beach and the other with views of the rainforest. A really nice spot to read a book, enjoy a cup of tea or wine! The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need as well as a basket of goodies with tea, coffee and snacks when we arrived. It was also super handy having a washer and dryer in the apartment too. Bev & Fury were always happy to assist with anything to make sure we made the most of our stay too. There’s also a pool and spa, which was a great place to relax after a day of exploring. It was a great base to explore FNQ & we will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

Well appointed units in a great location
Reviewed By HarjipsonWe had a fabulous stay, 2 almost interconnecting apartments for a family of 5 with grown up children. Beds very comfortable. Pool area great, don’t miss the sunrise, about a 30 minute walk into Palm Cove via beach or rainforest pathway. Had a couple of good meals at Coco Mojo. Courtesy bus transfers to the Yorkeys Knob Boating Club were a bonus on Easter Sunday. We didn’t have a car here and managed with a lot of walking and the public bus. It would be easier with a car though, supermarket is around a 20 minute walk. Thanks John and Sheree

Fantastic location a few minuets to the beach.The atmosphere at this Bed & Breakfast is warm & inviting with a friendly attitude. There are numerous locations & settings where a couple can relax & enjoy each others company, in this restful tranquil environment. Situated in between Cairns & Port Douglas, it is the ideal base for all your adventures. All tours & adventures can be booked here for you, we know which ones are the best, & will help you to decide. Do as much, or as little as you would like.

Reviewed By Roving591660Maz was very helpful throughout the booking process. The property is lovely & in a great position close to a lovely beach. The breakfast was excellent. We stayed in the separate unit which was well-provided with nice facilities. Definitely recommend this property.

Argosy on The Beach is perfectly located right on the Esplanade facing the beach and only 20 minutes north of Cairns International Airport. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens with views of Clifton Beach and Tropical Mountain Rainforest the property features freeform swimming pool, spa, pool side BBQ cabana, sauna room, FREE secure carparking and FREE WIFI. Argosy on the Beach Apartments are individually furnished throughout in a modern tropical design all accessed by a lift to each floor. The apartments are extremely spacious open plan full air-conditioning with large fully equipped kitchens, laundry, large flat screen TV's, CD music systems, Free Cable, Free WIFI and most bedrooms opens directly onto rear balcony which over look rainforest and where the birdlife and free roaming kangaroos are simply a delight with all visitors. Floor to ceiling glass frontage opens onto balconies where one can dine all with ocean views.
Nightmare with cancellation
Reviewed By Linda DI have not been to the hotel, nor have i seen Clifton Beach. What i have done is make a booking and 17 minutes later i have tried to cancel it, and obtain a refund. When i made the inquiry to book on the same day at 5.05pm and at 5.12pm the full amount was withdrawn from my account, which i did not authorise, then at 5.22pm i rang the hotel and told them i needed to cancel as i had realized that I needed to be in Port Douglas for my daughters wedding, and not 43kms down the road with no way to get there, and i cannot drive. I was told by Management i would get a refund the next day, but i have not had any refund and trying to track the booking which i did not receive a booking number for has been a nightmare. It is fraud and i have contacted the bank. If you do want to book here, be very sure of your times dates etc, because otherwise you get a total run around. Very dishonest and very upsetting to pay for nothing.

Reviewed By walterkathleenWe have just had a long stay at Clifton Sands in Clifton Beach. We were sorry to leave, but one must go home at some stage.? We loved our unit, it had everything we needed on a holiday. Our bed was very comfortable and I loved the hot showers after a swim. I loved sitting out on the balcony in the evening listening to the waves and watching the birds. The beach is just a block away. We swam in the beach and also in the lovely pool at our units. Linda the Manager was very friendly and helpful and was a font of knowledge about the area. Clifton Sands had everything we needed and more. I would definitely stay there again.

Everything we were looking for!
Reviewed By _mpm4612Our family of seven, including 3 children ages 3 to 13, stayed 10 nights at Lahania by the Sea. The accommodations were exactly what we wanted: room to be all together and space for privacy. The unit was quiet and private - made for a wonderful, unhurried, and relaxing stay. The community pool is beautiful, and the beach is just a few feet away. The unit is beautifully and practically equipped for comfort and being able to prepare meals and enjoy your time there. We will definitely stay there again when in the Cairns area. There is plenty to do, with shops and restaurants and a children's play area nearby. Our host, Anna, was delightful and a great help to us in getting settled. Lahania By the Sea is a wonderful retreat!
