Excellent Respite!

This was our first trip to Glen Ella and won’t be the last! I don’t recall hearing a sound of modern civilization the entire time. The 100+ year old property is well -maintained and gardens are beautiful. Notes of interest: Internet connection is spotty Kierig coffee maker is in room, so bring extra pods if you are an early riser and need more than what’s supplied. The bed linens are very soft and cozy. The bath towels are also soft and absorbent. No TV or radio in the room but a very nice sound machine. 1st floor rooms facing the meadow are the best. Easy day trips to Tallulah Falls, Dillard, Clayton, Clarksville, Helen and Dalonaga. The restaurant isn’t open on Sunday evening, but nearby Clarksville offers several good options. Very nice swimming pool! We’ll return!

Quiet... Sufficient amenities... Golf Anniversary Getaway

Reviewed By DogTagTours

We would return to this resort. Our villa was very clean.. sufficiently supplied with kitchen gear.. King bed was really comfy... WIFI was reliable and fast ... golf course was just right at $25 per round.. and busy .. we were able to play as a twosome.. not asked to pair up... bathroom had a two person jetted tub and then a teensy fiberglass apartment grade shower... a little odd... picnic table on our balcony needed a good cleaning but nothing that we couldn't overlook to sit outside.. we overlooked the turnout for the resort's horses.. and then a farmer's field for dairy cattle.. was very peaceful.. even if it wasn't the rolling surf of the ocean... parking was easy.. unloading was up one flight of stairs... units are well insulated for sound.. We were on the southern end of the property in Presidential Greens which is two large buildings. not a good choice for kids with families as you'd have to drive to the pool and activity center... most of our neighbors were couples like us..who were happy being away from the busier, larger complex near the activity center... grounds were well maintained.. its a quiet area . most attractions are outdoors.. hiking, waterfalls, etc. Atanta is about a two hour drive.. visited MLK historic site ... could've managed a second attraction on the same day... Stone Mountain or World of Coke, Art museum, Gardens but had plans to visit with family outside the city...Biltmore is two hours north in Asheville and deserves a FULL day to visit...

Christmas Adventures

Reviewed By reggiesue

Arrived Christmas eve with 10 people (all family). Rented a 6 bedroom 4 bath cabin with plenty of room for all. For $2000 for 3 nights, we expected better service. First afternoon, no hot water, called office - Left message. Maintenance man cane around to tell us to drip faucets as snow coming, told him problem and he immediately went to check out. Reset fuse and we had hot water. BTW..we had a white Christmas!! The place has a lot of maintenance issues and just run down. Housekeeping needs help also. Floors were dirty and someone had a dog before us as hair all downstairs and poop outside. 2 of the 6 kitchen lights needed bulbs replaced. No instructions for the dish tv - never did get it working. Internet was strong..thankfully. one plunger for 4 toilets found in the smallest downstairs bathroom. Toilet upstairs leaked through the downstairs bathroom ceiling but noone seemed to care at office, said they would put in maintance slip?? No clothes detergent left for washer/dryer. No dish soap for dishwasher. Very poorly managed. While we loved the area and space - we will not be back!!

Nacoochee Country Inn

Our newly constructed rooms feature beautiful woodwork, a kitchenette area, french doors with private decks, and a variety of bedding options to choose from. A breakfast special for two (redeemed at Tiny's restaurant, which is located on the premises) is included in the nightly room rate.

This is what staying in cabins is all about!

We had a large group, so we reserved all but one of the rooms. Worked out great! All the rooms are configured differently. All but room #1 have a back porch. Each room is more than adequate. If you really wanna live it up, stay in the suite. The manager Lynne is super helpful and friendly. This is THEE place to stay in the area.
