Podere Benintendi

The construction rises on a hill, from here we can enjoy a splendid view on those nearby valleys. The house has been recently restaured and divided into 5 apartments and 5 rooms. Apartments and rooms look out on the garden, where we can admire different varieties of plants and flowers. On the surrounding space, you can find many relax areas, such as the characteristic "Concimaia", a very panoramic place endowed with pavilion, table, chairs and a romantic swing. In the west, close to the construction, we can find a little natural lake, habitat of ducks and frogs, whose croaking amplifies the feeling of close contact with nature. For nature and good form's lovers, Podere Benintendi offers the opportunity of walking and training in the open air. The structure is endowed with a very big swimmingpool (4,5x17 m). Guests can enter into the pool through a roman flight of steps that dips softly into the water. Here you can spend pleasant instants steeped in relax and welfare. Close to the pool, under the wonderful terrace made up of stones, is the characteristic "Enoteca" in rustic style, where you can buy oil of our production. Adjoining to the Entoteca, you can find the gymnasium, that guests can use free.

Spectacular

This was one of my favorite accommodations in my Tuscany trip because it was so unique! It’s located close to Certaldo a medieval hamlet in the heart of the Val d’Elsa which is incredibly charming and worth spending a few hours in. It is also where the famous Italian writer Boccaccio (author of Decameron) was born. Bocaccio was a great fan of Dante Alighieri, and our room in Podere Benintendi was inspired after Dante! Some of his books were displayed as well as a drawing of his unequivocal face profile on one of the walls and a quote from Dante’s Paradiso on the other. The room has unique pieces of decoration such as an amazing chair-nigh-table-and-lamp piece of furniture. When I woke up here and peeked through the window and couldn’t believe my eyes! Podere Benintendi is located at the top of a hill and in that foggy morning, we were sitting above the clouds. The view was unbelievable and I felt so blessed of having been able to experience it. After documenting that enchanting morning through photos and videos, we went to the lobby for breakfast which was extremely complete with lots of home made delicacies and many options to choose from. We then spent the morning exploring the estate as there is a lake, an aromatic herb garden, and nice quaint corners with sculptures or fun details spread allover. There’s also a pool, a gym, a billiard room and a shop where they sell their self branded wine, limoncello, marmalade and olive oil at very competitive prices.

Wonderful Tuscan Villa

We had a wonderful five night stay in this lovely villa with a fantastic view over the Tuscan landscape. Great sunsets from the lawns. It is near the lovely town of Certaldo. A car is necessary as it is in the countryside. There is one nice restaurant, by a lovely lake, within walking distance. We had a very comfortable, relaxing stay and enjoyed the pool. Claudia was very helpful. Soap, shampoo are not provided but Claudia helped us with some. It would be nice if toiletries were provided. All in all a great place and we really enjoyed our stay

This is charming small hotel located in the Medieval walled hilltop city of Certaldo in Tuscany. This is a small hotel. The owner as well as his staff go out of their way to be helpful and ensure that your stay is a pleasant one. Everyone had a mask on and at breakfast gloves were supplied for everyone to use while serving yourself. This was a lovely breakfast of meats, cheeses and croissants and enjoyed in a spectacular courtyard over looking the hills of Tuscany. I highly recommend this hotel.

Antica Torre del Borgo

MY PRINCESS TOWER

Reviewed By Abigail2127

Going up in the funicular to Certaldo Alto and looking at the constructions was like traveling back in time. Once I arrived to Antica Torre del Borgo this cheerful lady came downstairs to welcome me and help me with my luggage. I arrived before the check in time but I was allowed to leave my stuff inside and get ready to do a tour while the room was prepared. It was tough to make it to the top with a 12 kg carry-on and a small backpack as of course it is a tower which implies a lot of steps but this guarantee the best view. Room was spotless with a comfortable bed and a frigo bar, I just couldn't make the heater work at night so it was little bit cold but just put some warm pijamas and it was fine. Breakfast was very nice and the kitchen was adorable so as the living room, I only stayed 1 night as there was no more availability but I would stay longer if possible. I was also allowed to keep my lugagge inside while going around on my check out day. The only minus is that breakfast is served during a restricted time so if you are on holidays and wanted to rest more you will miss it and you are not allowed to use the kitchen by yourself.
