No room at the Hotel Brianza
Reviewed By Traveller_Abroad_101I was recently in Bologna on business and booked a room directly with the hotel via email. I was informed of the rate and I informed the hotel that I would be arriving late because of my flight. I did not receive a reply to this but assumed the room was booked anyway. I was not asked for my credit card details, but I imagined I could pay on site. Much to my surprise, when I arrived, no room was booked. I had to pay an extra €35 for a room at another hotel in the centre of the city and a taxi fare there of €24.75. When I asked the hotel for a refund of the taxi fare and the difference from the room at the Hotel Brianza and the one I stayed in, they refused and said that the staff had already gone out of their way to help me. Arriving in a foreign country at night and being treated like this is completely unacceptable and the hotel should be made accountable for the extra money I had to pay. However, I do not know who to complain to - any help as to how I can get the refund would be much appreciated!

Much more than a B&B
Reviewed By Thomas OAs others have reflected on, at first glance this looks like any house, but it offers an excellent stay. The property is secured by a gate which is opened by a secure code linked to your phone - equally the front door is operated in the same manner. Inside the property offers a real "feeling of home" - all rooms are relatively large and well equipped. The kitchen offers coffee, water etc. and in the morning there is a reasonable breakfast on offer. Whilst there is not always someone at the property, there are contact details provided and if there are any issues or anything you need, they are available 24/7 and always react very quickly. Due to its location it is probably best for visitors to be mobile/have a car, but if you want a very clean, friendly, b&b style stay, Giardino di Mia is a great option. I am frequently in Bologna area for business and always stay here.

Our Inn is set in the Bologna countryside, a relaxing oasis of nature in an ancient restored farmhouse courtyard. It enjoys a privileged position, a few km from Bologna Airport and A1 Motorway. Close to San Giovanni in Persiceto, Anzola dell'Emilia, Sala Bolognese, Calderara di Reno. Large rooms with private bathroom, hairdryer, courtesy kit, LED TV, mini fridge and air conditioning. In the morning you will find a rich breakfast sweet and savory buffet, with homemade cakes, local salame, ham and cheese, yogurt, cereals, fruit, jams, biscuits, fruit juices and hot drinks. A dinner service is provided to our guests with traditional bolognese cuisine and good local wines. Free Wi-Fi throughout the Inn, covered parking, a garden where to relax and enjoy breakfast in the warm seasons. Lounge and reading rooms with small thematic library dedicated to cars and Lamborghini. Handmade bath towels and bed linen sets in natural fabrics. A suggestive old stable for meetings and receptions.
Wonderfull place
Reviewed By GGardeFollow the directions on google maps, since many gps system cannot find it. I arrived when it was pooring, but soon the sun came out and you will find yourself in the middle of vineyards and agriculture. The keeper is friendly and the dinner simple but good. Rooms and bathrooms are well kept and spacious. I loved all the pictures and memorablia around the house of the owner and Lamborghini. I will return.

Located just 800 meters from the airport G. Marconi, the 'EMI Hotel is located just outside the city center and offers a warm and friendly service. It offers free Wi-Fi and free parking. Each room is air conditioned and has a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV. Upon request, guests have free use of the room service. The family-run restaurant and pizzeria allows you to enjoy as well as excellent pizza baked in a wood oven and typical Emilian cuisine with fresh pasta and homemade desserts. The Hotel is located in EMI Calderara di Reno, near the exit of the A14 motorway and 2 minutes from the ring road. Located just 200 meters from the bus stop, allowing you to reach the city center and the railway station in Bologna in about 20 minutes.
A gem if your lucky enough to experience
Reviewed By Vallely TSmall friendly family run hotel. With an excellent restaurant and lovely staff. Booked at short notice having a problem flying back to UK with Ryanair.. arrived at hotel just in time for lunch which was pizza from a proper pizza oven. I can honestly say it was one of the best ever.I recommend the seafood perfectly cooked and presented. For dinner tagliatelle followed by sea bream with roasted veg was perfect in every way. I felt so lucky to find the gem so close to the airport an overnight stay was too short to really enjoy the delights in store for a weary traveller.

Camere ampie, bagni tenuti benissimo, sala e cucina top, forniti di ogni accessorio. Tutto super pulito!! Abbiamo affittato tutta la casa, essendo in tanti, e siamo stati così bene che abbiamo deciso di prendere spesso cibo a domicilio anziché uscire. Stufa a pellet e camino hanno allietato il nostro soggiorno. A 20 minuti da Bologna centro, ma vicino a diversi locali per mangiare. Cortesia del proprietario top, grazie mille

Reviewed By Misumikee77We stayed here for one night only. The location is really good, about 10 minutes from the airport. The area is quiet. The hotel has free parking. Breakfast was decent, if you like vegetables then you're out of luck :)) Room was clean, nothing special, the beds/ mattresses on the other hand were very comfortable.
