Reviewed By Tijana VAfter an entire day of traveling with my partner and a friend, we arrived at the Pensiunea Bontos in Budesti way after 10pm. We were exhausted and late, however the owners were welcoming us with open arms and warm dinner. We were so grateful to their understanding & kindness. We had complimentary palinka which is a homemade spirit made of fruits. The dinner included a very tasty soup (we all had seconds, as it was so nice after the long journey), then we had beautifully cooked meat with mashed potato, gravy and refreshing salad. We even had dessert too. The rooms were simple, solid and clean. We had a lovely night rest there. For breakfast it was a buffet, filled with unique meal choices. All looked beautiful. We tried them all and there were all delicious. Fresh & homemade produce. We loved it. We only stayed here for one night & had a wonderful, relaxing time in this place. Note: the owners could only speak Romanian, so our friend who also speaks the language fluently was our translator. Nonetheless, we were using our body language to communicate which was fine & fun. They are lovely people.

Reviewed By wws68Convenient stopping place for a group if you don't mind carrying your luggage up two flights of stairs. There is good A/C in the rooms, but only if you go back down to the desk and ask for a remote, which was not offered at check-in.

Reviewed By dabreizhPour être objectif je suis arrivé très tard (23h, heure d’arrivée jusqu’à 23h30), La porte de l’hôtel était fermée, j’accède donc à l’établissement par le restaurant. Les serveurs ayant autre chose à faire ne sont pas très attentionnés, mais aimables. J’ai pu dîner malgré cette heure tardive, mais le service n’est pas vraiment top et la pizza moins bonne que n’importe quelle pizza surgelée. La chambre est grande, impeccable et calme. J’ai demandé plusieurs fois où se trouvait le parking privé indiqué sur le site car j’avais beaucoup de matériels à l’intérieur, mais ma voiture est restée devant le restaurant (sans problème d’ailleurs). Je n’ai pas pris de petit déjeuner, le tarif de 10 € étant prohibitif en Roumanie Bel établissement mais accueil peu enjoué et restauration à éviter.

Reviewed By MitszuThe hotel is not technically in Calarasi, but several kilometers to the south, on the shore of Borcea cannal (Danube river), easily reachable by car. On the outside the hotel doesn't look like a much, a late 80s or 90s two stories building which has been painted over several times. On the inside there is a different story, with the exception of the restaurant, the reception and hotel rooms have been redone with a rustic feel to them and a conference room is also available for meetings. Free Wi-Fi is available everywhere in the complex. Payment by credit card is possible. For 35 euros a night we booked a 24sm double room with a large bathroom (bathtub and bidet), sleeping area (bed, night stands, 40" flat screen Philips smart TV with free internet and Netflix) and daytime area (non extandable couch, armchairs, writing desk, coffee table, fridge, free AC), the latter two not completely separated, but appropriate for a family with a small child. The view is nothing to write home about, the balcony is unsafe for small children, the bathroom is without venting and the room required maintenance and dusting. Continental breakfast came included with the room. The hotel has its own private beach, with a bar and music, located less than 50m away, which is cleaned every day, has extra fine sand and rentable beach beds (2 euro/day). The restaurant is opened 16 hours everyday and the prices are good in relation to the size of the servings. We had a pleasant stay and will surely return if we're ever in Calarasi.
