Reviewed By C5317UDfranktThe Primrose Hotel used as starting point for our cycling trips in the third week of Sept 2020. It is really a perfect place to start. Nice and clean rooms, good matrasses, warm and adjustable temperatures for shower and clean towels. Breakfast and diner were excellent. Every evening an other dish with either, meat, fish or vegetarian. The bike where stored in a locked basement, the bikes good be cleaned with a hose and the clothes could be washed in a separate washing room. Parking lots enough. The owner and his staff are very friendly and cooperative in finding solutions and answers for all your questions.

Cafe review, not a hotel review: Charming place, patchy food
Reviewed By Michael GThis cafe is beautifully placed in a main square sloping down from the high end of this distinctive town - the town being a gateway to many popular mountain attractions. The cafe itself has charm, is busy, staffed by friendly, pleasant people, but the food itself is fairly ho-hum. The salads are a good bet: they're huge, but the oblong pizza-ish things are very much fast-food fare and the savoury tarts are disappointing.

Super bed and breakfast
Reviewed By SarahBee69Stayed four nights, we were very comfortable in our well equipped room. It was cosy and warm during our winter stay. There was a kettle and hairdryer in the room, bedding, towels and toiletries. Breakfasts were continental style and there was plenty of it. The location was great, a 10 minute walk into town which offered a great selection of bars, restaurants and patisseries. A great base for exploring the Pyrenees with a lovely host always happy to help.

Great base for cycling the Pyrénées
Reviewed By SteveS608A group of 8 stayed here having booked through Love Velo. We stayed for 5 nights, half board. Rooms are very basic, no air con for example, but comfortable and clean. Minimal shower gel and shampoo provided, so take your own. Breakfast was pretty standard, pastries, cereal and bread etc, but great coffee. The evening meal was excellent after a day riding the Pyrenean climbs, 4 course with soup, a starter, main meal and dessert, and a lot of bread! The food in the evening was superb, plentiful and very tasty - we couldn’t have asked for more. The owners were great, but spoke minimal English which was sometimes challenging (given our minimal French). There is a separate garage for bike storage - the key is held at reception. Drinks prices are reasonable, but the communal seating is limited so not great for socialising in a big group. Would definitely revisit given value for money, location and food.

Damaged car
Reviewed By 267pierrehenrigThe parking is in front of the hotel and open to the street. In the morning I found "somebody" had scratched both doors on the left hand side - a big German car, not the cheap French rubbish which filled the car park. Jealousy ? Spite ? Stupidity ? As regards the rooms, we were given the ones above the open air restaurant - the smell was supposed to be enticing ? The money was taken at the time of the booking, with the promise of a refund in case of cancellation - what a good idea - for them. Soundproofing is poor, the TV screens are small, but not that old (guess why) , there is no fridge nor air-conditioning and the hairdryer is awkward to use. I was duped by the overall good reviews given to this hotel - by the owners of the cheap French cars ?

Reviewed By 543sylvainpDésolé mais je vais être assez critique sur 2 points : La chambre est vraiment dans son jus avec la porte dont la serrure était défectueuse et nous avons connu la joie d’être restés bloqués à l’extérieur. Appel du responsable de l’hôtel à 19h pour nous dépanner. Sujet connu mais non traité.une information aurait dû nous être signalée à notre arrivée. WC fuyant et signalé Prise de courant déboîtée Personnel de service du petit déjeuner pas très aimable. Doit progresser dans sa fonction.

Très bel appartement mais trop proche de la route
Reviewed By 401sandrinecL appartement est spacieux propre et très bien équipé. Il ne manque rien...sauf le calme. Au bord de la route le passage des voitures est incessant. Nous avons eu l impression de passer nos vacances au bord du périphérique ! Du coup avoir payé un supplément pour avoir la grande terrasse vue sur les montagnes sans avoir pu en profiter ça énerve ! Sinon on près de tout et l accès à la piscine du camping est un plus.
