Decent hotel by the lake
Reviewed By JazzumboExcellent location - about 200 meters from Vidraru Dam, right by the Transfagarasan road. There's a wharf next to hotel from where the guests can take a boat for a ride around the lake. Spectacular scenery all around. Generous free parking. The room was nicely furbished and the bed was ok. Well equipped bathroom. It looks like all the rooms are with balconies. The breakfast was decent. Although there were many posters warning hotel's guest about the risk of bears encounters, we didn't see any bear during our stay.

Reviewed By giannidincaThat's the question, I'd lean towards the canteen! Everything seemed "low" to me. Honestly, I can only be extremely hungry to enter. The waiters were in such a hurry that they would have packed me to finish faster. I don't know about the accommodation, we just went in to eat.

Reviewed By RaucaPVery Nice place to stay. We had one night, But here is the best place to stay several days because the area is full with natural and man made attractions. The food is very good. Poor vegan options, though. The staff is very nice and helpful. Clean room, clean building. Amazing room view and terrace view. Big parking lot and it is easily accesed from the main road.

What surprised us was the friendliness of the staff, particularly Mihai, who went out of his way to help us with information about the area, food recommendations and creatively finding a way for us to enjoy the restaurant's menu when we had no cash left. :)

Nice place to go
Reviewed By 149andreisCabana Zimbru is a really nice place to go with a great view. The rooms are big enough, clean and comfortable. There's also a restaurant with really good prices, but not all of the dishes were that great. The owners were really nice and helpful, they even offered us free drinks at each meal. Overall, it's a great location to relax.

Reviewed By Onisim MThe village is very nice and quiet. One can enjoy a relaxing time in this place. The house is clean and tidy and the hosts are very nice people. The owner is also the priest in the village and his church is across the house. One can have breakfast there. I believe it was good breakfast and good coffee. The wi-fi is free and they also have a small parking place. I recommend it!

Reviewed By Tímea LReally nice place with little houses, but you can also just camp there with the tent or the camper. The little houses where clean, some of them have jacuzzi. It was easily approachable. Owners are friendly! We can just recommend it.
