Great place, small room
Reviewed By ClienteSabidoA friend told us about this pousada and it is very nice and cozy, but the room is quite small. Breakfast was great. The atmosphere is nice despite us not liking live music which they have on Friday nights.

Reviewed By rickbrazzI recently visited the city of Ilhéus, located in Bahia. Ilhéus was founded in 1536 as "Vila de São Jorge dos Ilhéus", and it became a city in 1881. It is known for having the novels of Jorge Amado, a famous Bahian writer. The city is also known as cocoa city and is surrounded by several beaches. The weather in summer is great. There you can visit beautiful beaches, you can visit the church of São Sebastião, which is the third most beautiful church in Brazil. At night you can visit several pizzerias. I had a good experience in the city of Ilhéus. I met historical places, tried great chocolates, visited some pizzerias and some beaches. The trip was good. I went with college colleagues. I have nothing to complain about, the city is beautiful, clean, safe, has good hotels and good food with a good price. On the last night of the trip I and my colleagues visited a restaurant, one of my colleagues got drunk and it was very funny, the next day we went back home. Ilhéus is located at the beginning of the road park BA-001, about 30 km from the city of Itabuna. Departing from Salvador by BR-101, the distance to Ilhéus is 460 km. Crossing the bay of Todos os Santos by ferry, the distance to Ilhéus falls to 310 km. The BR-101 is the main access to Itabuna, following the BR-415 to Ilhéus. For those who come from Salvador, Valença, Camamu or Itacaré, BA-001 is an alternative access. Daily flights from airlines TAM, GOL, Azul and Avianca from São Paulo, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte and Salvador arrive in Ilhéus. Airport of Ilhéus - Jorge Amado. Telephone: (73) 3234-4000. I recommend visiting the Ilhéus town in the summer, because in winter the sea gets very violent and it rains a lot too. People are very receptive and friendly. It's a great place to take a good photo, take a walk with family and friends and forget the worries of life.

Reviewed By Carsten SJust a 10minute walk away from highly recommended surfing beach Back Door. VERY helpful and friendly owner who speaks fluent englisch. Rooms are basic but very clean. Great breakfast! We would come back. The hotels slight patina suits the relaxed "Bahia Vibe" just fine!
