Dejligt at være et sted, hvor naturen er lige om hjørnet! Personalet er i topklasse, da de er utrolig hjertevarme og nede på jorden! Jeg sov i hytterne og jeg har intet at sætte en finger på. Jeg kommer tilbage

Hiring Danhostel bikes to tour Copenhagen

Reviewed By BalwynCalling

Doing a driving tour of Scandinavia, Copenhagen is the world's bike riding capital city, with significant bike path infrastructure, and minimal car park. As Copenhagen is such an expensive city for accommodation for a family of 4, Danhostel provided the combination of affordable accommodation and free car parking. To tour the city, the easiest way is to ride a bike, where we hired 4 bikes at ~A$20 per bike for 24 hours. Reception only had 2 helmets, where most riders in Copenhagen do not use helmets. I would have preferred a bit more air in the tyres where the reception could not find a pump. The rooms had bunk beds with linen provided. This linen was not the most hygenic, with some major hair on mine. We were there during warm weather, where the absence of air conditioning might upset some sensitive guests. The communal bathroom were acceptable. The hostel has a communal kitchen in the basement with fridges. The kids enjoyed playing the video games in the games room, although this room was like a sauna. There was no tv in our room. The hostel had laundry facilities in the basement. Given the lack of nearby shops, we bought breakfast at the hotel - which I would describe as acceptable, where the dining areas are all about stacking your stools / chairs off the floor once finished. The hostel also required the room to be clean before our departure, requiring caution about not dropping anything on the floor. (I also incorrectly posted this review for Danhostel Copenhagen City).

Guests can prepare a meal in the cozy communal kitchen and buy toiletries, souvenirs and other necessities at the front desk. The TV lounge at Danhostel offers a relaxing space for watching movies or reading a book, while children have fun in the play room. The outside terrace is also a great place to have drinks and admire the beautiful garden. Children can enjoy the outdoor playground.

Very unfriendly. SUCKS! JUST DON’T BOTHER STAYING

I had booked a stay with my son for two nights in early Aug. 2019. We were going on a summer vacation and meet up with my parents (which would be staying with my brother). Unfortunately, on the morning of our check in, I received the heartbreaking news that my father had passed. So, I called the Hostel immediately to cancel and explained the reason. There was NO “I’m sorry and condolences”. Just: “No, you should have called two days prior to annull the booking.”. Obviously, no one plans for death... I would NEVER ever recommend a place like this! My other bookings with other summerhouses had no problem with cancellations as long as I provided documentation.

Wonderful location.

This was my 2nd trip and initially I chose it because it was dog friendly. My latest trip simply because it is a wonderful relaxed experience to stay there. Friendly staff, great private beach and a grand place to recharge. A short walk into the city with its many bars and restaurants or you can opt to use the kitchens where you can cook for yourself. I cannot fault the place at all and look forward to being a far more regular guest.

I thought this place was great and I think it needs to said I had a fantastic time here. It was only 1 night but located in a quiet part of town near a Lidl store through the woods I went. The property was well kept and alot of activities to do had I stayed longer. I also hiked from Fredericksborg Palace to here so it was a great walk through the town. There is an easy access bus route to here as well.

Nice, quiet and cozy place

We found this through Booking.com and gave a try and found to very nice place and very welcoming host. It's very near to Bus Station and a train station. Got a kitchen, off course shared, and tried hands on cooking too. Would recommend people to friends and colleagues visiting Denmark.

Soggiorno sofferto

Reviewed By Cristina M
