Adorable pousada, delicious breakfast
Reviewed By Perfect_LadyAfter visiting PdG back in 2012, I wanted to spend a little more time there, so decided to go back for a few days on my latest trip. I found this pousada online and it had very good reviews and availability. I arrived late at night, but had arranged a transfer through the pousada, from the airport and my driver had kindly made contact the day before and advised me where he'd be and to message with any queries. As a lone female traveller this made me feel very comfortable. Upon arrival the pousada was quiet and charming. My room was lovely, spacious, clean and everything worked. I loved that the aircon was so quiet and it had a full length mirror in the main room. After a good night's sleep I went down to the lovely dining area by the pool for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever had in Brazil, many types of cakes - including tapioca cakes (a personal favourite), different fruits, yoghurt, juices, various cheeses AND eggs and tapioca pancakes cooked to order., plus much more! ALL the staff were friendly and charming. No-one spoke English, but I wanted to practice my portuguese. It was set back a little from the main town, but it was a short walk and also a lovely quiet location. A giant supermarket is 5 mins walk away. I loved staying here and was so sad to leave. But I'd highly recommend this pousada to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in PdG. Esp - if like me - you value a tasty and plentiful breakfast.

Friendly and comfy if you don't mind a walk to the beach
Reviewed By Phil MOne of the friendliest places we stayed in Brazil, and good value considering Porto de Galinhas is not cheap. The owner didn't speak a word of English or Spanish - seems par for the course in Pernambuco. The room was excellent - spotless and very comfy with good mosquito screens. There's a small lake behind the property so bugs are present in numbers. There's a swimming pool in the grounds but we didn't try it as the beach is so amazing. It's a bit of a walk to the beach through some dirt backstreets. It looks more dodgy than it is - we never saw any trouble in PG - but could be intimidating for a single traveler. We also had trouble finding a taxi driver who understood the address or knew the place. Just minor issues though; overall it's highly recommended.

Great place to relax overlooking the beach
Reviewed By Mohamed AI enjoyed my stay here a lot. I stayed for a week in one of the one bedroom chales with terrace overlooking the ocean. Great few days. I had everything I needed. Location was close enough go downtown for a nice stroll and far enough to relax and enjoy the quite. Cristina, the host was very accommodating and helpful whenever I needed anything. Thanks

The Residencial Porto de Galinhas is a prime location: the 100m and 150m from the natural pools of the boardwalk (located restaurants, barzinhos). All rooms are furnished and have air conditioning, plasma TV, minibar, internet wirelles. We have Sky TV in the conference and own car park, barbecue and more freedom in the check in and check out room. With 6 bedrooms and sleeps 16 people and breakfas.

We will NEVER stay at Dorisol Porto de Galinhas again
Reviewed By EFASWe stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of June and our experience can be closely compared to a nightmare. Rooms, furniture, towels, sheets ans in general the hotel has been left without investment for a long time...this is clear. Room is uncomfortable, no TV in front of the bed, but downstairs, so badly planned! Breakfast was a complete disaster... very unfriendly staff, not enough food or variety, one day the milk was expired, they do not refill the empty dishes and as there is no air conditioned, flies and all kind of insects are all around, even inside the yogurt. Wireless only "worked" at the lobby and not even this, in our case. Beach was full with trash, although a man sits in front of this area the ENTIRE day and could give it a hand. The majority of the pool area was in maintenance and the towels they offer are old, stinky and full of yellow spots. This, only to mention some of the inconveniences...Please, do yourself a favour and don't even think about spending your money here!
