And 2 minutes drive, 12 minutes walk to beaches. At night we have a private shuttle to the Quadrado. Our Breakfasts are the most healthy, tropical, and regenerative we could think of. In the afternoon we offer coffee and teas and at night a free shuttle to the Quadrado. THE BOTANICAL, a bistro will soon be launched (2021) but we are already serving drinks, detox juices, nutritional casual foods, as well as local traditional Bahian and Minas Gerais delicious and super nutritious recipes so that guests do not have to leave the pousada in search of restaurants at night. The central space is lantern-lit and very romantic. Foods can be served in the garden or in bungalows. Other services include WIFI wide band in all areas, Cable Tv, inverter high-quality air conditioners, that help prevent health issues, Power showers. Starting in 2020/21, we will focus in turning Green by becoming Solar powered, recycling the most we can our organic waste, and will implement projects and initiatives to preserve the ecosystem of Trancoso and the Costa do Descobrimento.

The gardens throughout the pousada are amazing; two pools; great service from reception staff; they booked our tours, car hire and recommended several places to eat; we stayed at one of the villas with 2 double bedrooms; it was nicely decorated; air con and ceiling fan; airy and comfortable. excellent breakfast; the pousada is close to the quadrado about 10 minutes walk however they offer transfer for 10 real per person and close to town; there were other guests about but it felt I had the place to myself. Money well spent.

The place is well taken care of, it can be clearly noticed through the little details regarding the room decoration, the common areas (their unique garden) and the healthy and tasty breakfast served in the morning. Great taste and presentation! The location of the Pousada is very near to the most popular street of Arraial: Rua Mucuge. The staff is also great! It was a pleasure to eat the tasteful dishes prepared by Mrs. Sueli and receive the warmth, respectful and hospitable service of Ms. Jaque. If you look for a comfortable and peaceful place, surrounded by coconut trees and a beautiful garden. Recanto do Arraial will overcome your expectations.

Our group was comprised of 27 people from the US and Brazil and the hotel amazingly allowed us to use a room for our group to meet. Highly recommended!

Reviewed By grenouile167This pousada is located in a wonderful park, with a lot of exotic trees and plants. The atmosphere is very relaxing comforted by a nice, albeit smallish, swimming pool and an attractive area where customers take breakfast ( excellent although identical every day) as well as dinner. Guests can also enjoy drinks throughout the day either by pool side or in the shade. The view of the Atlantic ocean and sand beaches protected by numerous palm trees is breathtaking. On that basis, the pousada should rate a top rating. Unfortunately, there were areas where the it fell short: the internet, in particular, was very erratic and at times totally dropped out. The front office proved unresponsive even after I pointed out problems in the room (doors/windows) which were never fixed. Although the staff in general was very friendly, they did not prove reliable when asked to address specific issues ( towels, soap..). Attention to details is definitely not a strength of this team.

But you will not find a hotel any where in the world that has a more dedicated, friendly staff then the staff at Fragata. Every request was met with a smile and an immediate response. The rooms were clean and bright, and the bedding was very comfortable. The location is absolute perfection. Yes, you can hear the party at night, but that is part of the experience. You are central to everything, including the beach, by walking. It is clear that the owner of this property takes great pride in providing a perfect retreat for a vacation. I intend to return to Arraial D'ajuda as soon as my time allows. I will definarely be staying Fragata. Thanks for helping making my trip a perfect dream.

Reviewed By Robert Neil MMe and my boyfriend, stayed 4 nighst in this wonderful hotel. The staff are excellent, very poliite and extremely helpfull. The breakfast is very good with a good choice of fruites, cakes, cheese, ham, and made to order tapioca and omletes. The room we stayed in was large and has air-conditioning. A fantastic bathroom, the largest I have ever seen in a hotel. The swimming pool is very nice, perfect for relaxing. They offered free tea, coffee and a selection of cakes in the afternoon which I thought was a very nice complement to our stay in Cheiro Verde. The garden is amazing, lots of wonderful plants, very well maintained, and as the name suggests, the smell of flowers is wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel. Very good price and excellent value for money. First class. Well done Cheiro Verde and a special thanks to all the wonderful employees who made our stay so relaxing and perfect. Neil Manning

Já tínhamos encontrado outros locais, mas a recepcionista Catia foi tão simpática e honesta que resolvemos ficar no Maria Pitanga. Gostamos muito do local. Os quartos são confortáveis e a cozinha tem todo o necessário para preparar as refeições se desejado. As demais dependências são confortáveis e bem decoradas, que promovem bem estar e tranquilidade. Um fator que nos chamou atenção foi o paisagismo de toda a propriedade. Embora todos os apartamentos estivessem ocupados, tivemos a sensação que estávamos sozinhos e com muita privacidade. Como nosso objetivo era descansar esse detalhe nós apreciamos muito. A localização do residencial também é excelente. É perto da Balsa e do centro da cidade. Alugar um carro pode ser uma boa opção para circular nos arredores, mas ter onde estacionar pode ser um problema em certos lugares. Ainda bem que existe muito transporte público e particular na porta do residencial e é muito fácil se locomover. E se tiver mais de 60 não paga nada mesmo nos transporte particular. Nossa ideia original era só descansar, nada de trabalho, mas o ambiente tão acolhedor e tranquilizante do residencial nos permitiu até a praticar o "ócio criativo" e acabamos por algumas horas tendo ideias para o trabalho e nem consideramos assim. Foi até divertido trabalhar naquele ambiente. O local é ideal para se trabalhar em home office por um período. E vimos alguns fazendo isso. Um ponto forte do residencial Maria Pitanga é o atendimento. Samanta, Catia, Carlos e os demais funcionários nos proporcionaram uma boa estadia e sentimos uma genuina preocupação com o nosso bem estar o tempo todo. Resumindo em poucas palavras nossos nove dias no residencial Maria Pitanga isso seria: Uma experiência feliz. We were looking for a stay in a residential in the city of Arraial d'Ajuda and by mistake we called the Residencial Maria Pitanga. We had already found other places, but the receptionist Catia was so friendly and honest that we decided to stay at Maria Pitanga. We really liked the place. The rooms are comfortable and the kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals if desired. The other dependencies are comfortable and well decorated, which promote well-being and tranquility. One factor that caught our attention was the landscaping of the entire property. Although all apartments were occupied, we had the feeling that we were alone and with a lot of privacy. As our objective was to rest this detail we appreciated it very much. The residential location is also excellent. It is close to the Ferry and the city center. Renting a car can be a good option to get around in the surroundings, but having somewhere to park can be a problem in certain places. Fortunately, there is a lot of public and private transport at the door of the residence and it is very easy to get around. And if you're over 60, you don't pay anything even in private transport. Our original idea was just to rest, no work, but the welcoming and calming atmosphere of the residence even allowed us to practice "creative leisure" and we ended up for a few hours having ideas for work and we didn't even consider it that way. It was even fun to work in that environment. The place is ideal for working from home for a period. And we've seen some doing it. A strong point of the residential Maria Pitanga is the service. Samanta, Catia, Carlos and the other staff provided us with a good stay and we felt genuine concern for our well-being at all times. If you need to make contact with the residential in English, you can talk to Carlos. He is fluent in English and has lived in the United States. Summarizing in a few words our nine days at the Maria Pitanga residential this would be: A happy experience.
