The check-in was seamless, I called the front desk and was shown the entrance to the private parking. I got help with my luggage. The room was clean, with a spacious bathroom and a comfortable double bed. It was equipped with shelves and clothes rack, providing travellers all they need. Wifi was very stable and breakfast was good. At the common area, free coffee and tea are provided. I find the common area good for solo travellers to mingle with other travellers.

Ocean Watch Guesthouse is situated on the coastal hill side of Plettenberg Bay, within 10 minutes' walk from the beach or town center. The guest house has a wonderfully large communal patio upstairs, with comfortable seating, to enjoy the stunning ocean views, overlooking the Keurbooms riverthat forms a lagoon at the river mouth,with the Tsitsikamma mountains as a backdrop. Downstairs is a small garden with a rim flow splash pool, overlooking the ocean. Decorated in neutral tones, the elegant rooms at Ocean Watch are well equipped with private bathroom/ shower. Most of the rooms are sea facing. Robberg Nature Reserve is 6 km away and Keurboomstrand is a 12-minute drive. This property isalso one of the best-rated locations in Plettenberg Bay! Guests are happier about it compared to other properties in the area. This property is also rated for the best value in Plettenberg Bay!

The food is outstanding, and the accommodation is close to Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, which has lovely beaches. The only down side was the swimming pool was mainly in the shades and had lots of dead insects in it

After 24 hours of travelling and an 8pm arrival, Amos greeted us, carried our bags, and made us very welcome. Rooms are huge and comfortable and the sea view out of this world. Breakfast on the deck was delicious and staff attentive and helpful. Did not give it five stars as the bathroom could do with a little updating - but still clean and effective. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Plettenberg Bay.

Reviewed By Mva2912Very nice location. Friendly staff. Good food. Basically all that is required for a quick breakaway. Prices on wine the best I have seen on travels. Quality selection! Only issue is the access road if you are travelling with a lowish vehicle. Plan ahead for this.

Reviewed By tarantinettePerfect reception by Jenny, and the rondewal was one of the most impressive overnight accommodations I have ever booked. We sat out load-shedding in front of an open fire and had a tremendous breakfast! The location is a little remote but the property is gorgeous.

Peaceful location
Reviewed By GeoffRuthHuddsUnfortunately the owners did not expect us until the day after our arrival even though we had email confirmation of our dates. We were greeted by the rather surprised mother of the owner. Our rooms were fine but there was a problem with the water pump which meant we were washing in brown water until it was repaired on our second day. Despite this we loved the place and Kerry, Clint and the children could not have been more helpful. The rooms are comfortable but perhaps a little dated. Kerry told us of their big plans to upgrade the rooms over the next few months with little if any, disturbsnce to guests. I could spend hours in the canoes on the little Bitou river there listening to the birds. Heavenly.
