very comfortable hotel in family setting at great spot in center of Kaohsiung
Reviewed By Piet986small hotel, conveniently close to the metro and also in walking distance from the Kaohsiung Expo Center. Large comfortable room with great airco and nice bathroom. Softdrinks included, nice breakfast in the sort of living room. Small downside: I am 1.95 meters tall and the double bed was more designed for Asian persons a little less tall. Since it was a spacious double bed, there was no problem. Wonderful shower! Very friendly staff, eager to help in any way. Also very convenient: elevator access to all the floors

Reviewed By Ren WI am shocked to see all the positive reviews here because this place is the most awful among all the hotels I stayed during my visit. It was so bad that my boyfriend and I decided not to check out 2 hours later without staying for the night. Despite its hip looking lobby and retro elevator, the room was far from satisfaction. There was a slight odour in the air, and the room was very humid that we felt very uncomfortable just sitting on the bed. There was no partition between the "bathroom" and the "bedroom" - you literally have to sleep right next to the bathtub. And the stool - the worst part - was only separated by a thin curtain. The shower curtain was too short to function - one shower and the whole bathing area was in a flood. The room was dusty and very filthy. We didn't use the bathtub because it was obviously not clean! I feel sorry because the lobby ladies were friendly, but we just could not stand the conditions at all. We abandoned our money and checked out after just an hour and stayed somewhere decent.

Clean but disappointed on 2nd last day of stay
Reviewed By 981betyaHi travellers, We stayed in this lovely family hotel ? during our visit. The room and toilet were clean, japanese sorta frame bed. Alls well till our 3rd night, came back and greeted by strong smell of cigarette smoke. Apparently one of the next door room guest was smoking and we shared the same air conditioning vent thus the smell floated over to our room. The hotel claims to have a no smoking ? policy yet they were unable to do anything and only provided us with an air humidifier which only made the smell worse. We attempted to open the windows at one point but shut it close as it was a hot night and we wanted to avoid mosquitos. As a result, we did not sleep well and had to abandon our plans the next morning so that we can rest in the day. In the morning, housekeeping were kind to clean the room and change the bedsheets but the smell lingers still and you guess it, the neighbour continued to smoke. It seems there are no smoke detector in our room too. In a nutshell, not ? advisable for guests with asthmatic issues thus beware.

Reviewed By 853jimmykStay for one week, after 2 days the buffet was the same 7 days Later no changes, but the room and the veiw from 61 st floor I’ll never get tired of. Morning buffet ok for all taste but eat the dinner in town.

85inn is located in the heart of Kaohsiung , just an 8 -minute walk from Sanduo Shopping District MRT Station , with free Wi-Fi , comfortable rooms and luxury shower. 85inn rooms are simple and elegant design with shower . Guests can watch the flat -screen TV , an electric kettle and tea bags or a cup of fresh green tea . Air-conditioned rooms are also equipped with a refrigerator . 10 minutes walk from the hotel guests can reach many shopping and dining options, including large department stores far , SOGO, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Shopping, public transport links , a great choice for sightseeing.

Reviewed By kekenuThe hotel is in this great iconic building, 85 sky tower, done by the same Archi of the 101 in Taipei. The building is a bit abandoned and hyper exploited by a series of cheap hotel.first find the lift to reach floor 12 where the reception is. At the reception I had the impression I was in an hostel. Then find the lift for the upper floor and in the labirynt of corridors reach your room. Great view, a lot of space compared to Taipei hotels, but honestly a bit hold, I expected much more , but for that price :/ around you have plenty of food shops, night market . Metro station is not far away, as the expo center , or metro to 2pear art center.

Reviewed By bronx0816開車的朋友入住八五大樓是相當不便，應該不是我這次入住的異國假期有這個缺點，我們一家三口兩大ㄧ嬰兒要先路邊停車上去12樓check in拿磁卡，下來才能把車開下去停車場，但是開錯樓層必須出來從新進停車場，結果磁卡被消磁了，還要找管理員解除，才能再開下去停車，花了好多時間小孩一直大哭

Reviewed By kuantingshen透過暖冬遊補助過來入住的，飯店沒有因為政府補助而調高價錢，而且櫃台人員服務態度很好，飯店雖然老舊但還蠻乾淨的，附近生活機能也蠻好的，缺點是離捷運站需要步行，不過並不會花太多時間，有機會會再次選擇入住的
