Reviewed By BRNimelyMy daughters and I were traveling to the states; AIR FRANCE CANCELED OUR FLIGHTS TWICE,,,, we were tired, frustrated, hungry and concerned about where we were going to sleep! The Farmington Hotel cam to our rescue Rayok & the team is AWESOME! The food is absolutely delicious,, the place is clean, great customer service all around!!! I highly recommend this place!!! My family and I will definitely be back!!!

Comfortable and clean hotel
Reviewed By ChrisL75I was in and out of this hotel from March to May 2021, whilst travelling for work. The rooms differ in layout, but are generally comfortable and kept very clean. Most of the staff are polite, helpful and kind - sadly there’s one or two exceptions, which lowered my rating. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would recommend the hotel if the location is convenient for you!

A Liberian Gem
Reviewed By Aurelius BMokos is located in a quieter/calmer part of the city but in eyesight of the beach, restaurants, grocery stores and the local hospital. As far as location is concerned, it would be extremely difficult to find a better one, especially at the price. The guesthouse also has an extremely friendly staff, 24 hours of electricity and nice warm showers (I have stayed at other places in the country that promise these simple amenities but fail to provide them). If you want a five star hotel, go to one of those venues but if you want a quaint, comfortable, ideally located, and safe establishment at a fair price I would try Mokos. I highly recommend.

The best welcome
Reviewed By 217raegI recently stayed at the Golden Key for a month - it felt like home from home. All the staff are very welcoming and hospitable. Every part of my stay was positive. The food is fantastic, the rooms are clean, the facilities are great but it's really the staff who make the place special. I would recommend the Golden Key to anyone.

Terrible Service
Reviewed By Camper725544I stayed in this establishment for 2 weeks on and off, my reservation was messed up twice by the staff and the second time left me without a room. The cleaning service is okay, i had a bulb that was out in the bathroom that took several days to change. There is some what of a roach issue in building that needs to be worked on. I contacted the owner to tell him about these changes and advice that his staff get professional training on hotel management and customer service. The breakfast is a plus and the service at the restaurant is great, but unfortunately the staff at the is very bad. This is such a nice location and could have lots of professional. I was at Cape Hotel for a week and the service was amazing.

Great location and friendly staff
Reviewed By Peter DI stayed on the second floor. Enjoyed the view of Broad Street outside. It gets quiet in the evening. There are nice restaurants close by. Staff kept the room neat. It is not a fancy hotel, but it is functional and clean. The best part is the top floor restaurant that overlooks the main streets of downtown Monrovia. When I go my main business is usually in Grand Capemount County, and the location of the Palm Hotel helps me get to the west toward that county quickly in the morning. A good scrambled eggs with toast breakfast is included with the room cost, and the hamburgers are some of the best in Liberia..

Best Option in Kakata
Reviewed By S MI've spent months in this region in recent years. The only two guest houses in Kakata that are worth considering is this facility and "City View." I prefer this establishment for a number of reason: 1. City View has a loud night club within the facility and a loud sports bar next door that runs into the night making it very hard to get a good nights sleep. Kem Guest house is very quiet and very relaxing situated within a residential neighborhood just off the main street. 2. It is often difficult to find anyone at City View that can answer the simplest of questions. Mr. Kem is virtually ALWAYS on site, easily accessible, and extremely helpful. 3. This facility has very reliable electricity since there are two generators (one for a backup). The air conditioners work great and water is plentiful. 4. I like the courtyard area for lounging early morning and in the cool of the day. No other guest house in Kakata has such a nice gathering place. 5. The facility has 24/7 guards and we have always felt very safe and secure. Overall ... this is simply the best option for Kakata for good accommodations. Clearly they are not to US or European standards, but for Liberia ... very, very good.

Complicated experience here
Reviewed By Traveldoc524My fiancé and I stayed here for 4 nights. The people are very nice, and the goat soup and fish soup in the restaurant are exceptional! Electricity is only provided from 6PM to 8:30AM. The WiFi never worked. Even though housekeeping sprayed the room for mosquitoes daily, there were plenty in the room. We wanted to host a party for 100 people, and the hotel was able to accommodate on barely more than 24 hours notice! Prices were fair, and the food was good. However, the food was ready before 5PM, and the event wasn't starting until 8PM. So the food was held at ambient temperature (food danger zone) for hours, and was barely warm by the time our guests arrived. The towels had an odd smell, like old cooking grease. I used a beach towel that we brought instead. Laundry that was sent had the odd smell, too, but not as strong, and could be alleviated with some Febreeze and some time. When they say that breakfast is included, they mean one plate of two eggs and toast per room. Were we supposed to share that? I expected that there would be two plates, since the charge for a double room was higher. I am looking forward to staying here again. The employees made it a wonderful experience overall! I will pack my own shampoo and towels, and ensure that I have a mobile hotspot.

Reviewed By alicc62Couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The guest house is still to be fully completed, but our room was functional & spacious, ensuite with TV, fridge, AC . Nothing was too much trouble for our host, the owner, Chris. We were entertained at his neighbouring bar & restaurant, served with local cuisine. A very enjoyable stay & highly recommended. Both are set on the beach, the guest house in tropical landscaped gardens & the bar/restaurant set directly on the beach.

(Specialized and well known in Liberia for Indian food.
