A great place to stay, Nearby Doltso square has a few coffee shops and a first class traditional restaurant by the same name. Parking on the street is plenty and safe. Doltso hotel is perfect for excursions to over 80 Byzantine and post-Byzantine churches and Kastoria's great Byzantine art museum run by a team of dedicated archaeologists.

Reviewed By Mina GPlaced on top of a hill this place has amazing view over the lake and it's worth it to walk up the steep streets to get there. The rooms are clean and cozy, and although they are not luxurious or fancy, each has a balcony with a lovely view. Baths are clean, the staff is so welcoming and polite that you feel home. The breakfast was amazing - the owners prepare it for you on the moment, there's a beautiful terrace that you can have your coffee and enjoy the picturesque lake beneath your feet. I recommend it to everyone and surely will be back.

FIRST ESCAPE AFTER THE LONGEST LOCKDOWN EVER
Reviewed By AsterixThessalonikiWe spent 3 nights in this wonderful hotel after 7 and half months of prison in the longest and most absurd lockdown ever. We had forgotten how beautiful is the nature outside the big cities. This hotel is situated in the traditionel quarter of Doltso in Kastoria city. It is a boutique hotel with exceptional old fashion design, excellent rooms, wonderful bar in the garden, gentle stuff. The breakfast was very tasteful with changes from day to day. In the neighbourhood there are plenty of restaurants and bars. And finally, although it is a protected area, there are free parking places available.

Reviewed By Gene R JMy wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving by rental car at 2PM and street parking in front. The English speaking owner made the check in easy and we soon followed him downstairs. Room #8 was small, wood floored with a small desk and stool, wardrobe with small TV with excellent reception of international channels (BBC and some movies in English on EPT1, Open Beyond, Mega & Star), comfortable double, small bathroom with bifold doors, warm water in ~1 minute & tile shower with a curtain. Opening windows look out on the B&B’s large covered dining patio. The secure room WIFI was excellent, 3 room outlets, 4 dim lights and heat registers. The 8:30 AM breakfast was very nice in their dining room served by the owner; OJ, apples, muesli with yogurt, 2 breads, hard boiled eggs, mushroom pie, meats/cheeses, banana bread and carrot bread for dessert with pressed coffee. This is a clean, quiet B&B with 7 rooms offering a quality stay in special Kastoria.

The breakfast and dinners were some of the best we had during our stay in Greece all tasty and home cooked. The bedrooms were large and well appointed. The communal areas were comfortable and the decor was fun. The whole place has a lovely friendly atmosphere.

The rooms are are of modern style, very clean,luminous,The bathroom is very nice and they have anything you might need . The owner, Mr. Giorgos is a very polite and helpful person , ready to fulfill all your wishes . So is his wife... Nice breakfast with all essential you need... I would return with big pleasure to this hotel and I recommend it warmly!

The Hotel was founded in 2007 in a beautiful traditional building on the bank of the lake Kastoria near the old city. You can admire the view of the lake through the windows of the restaurant while you are enjoying the heat of the fireplace in the winter, the traditional home made products will prepossess you for a beautiful day.

Very good for a short stay
Reviewed By Dani ZThe Hotel is situated by the main road, on the other side of the lake. There was free parking within the hotel. The room was nice, with a balcony and a tiny bathroom (but everythin needed was provided). The beds were comfortable, except for the blankets that felt like paper-board and were too noisy everytime you moved in your bed. They should change them, as they were really uncomfortable. The breakfast was very basic, not much choice, but I must tell, very good for what you pay. A convenient stay for a couple of days, if you don’t want to spend much.

Reviewed By Seawind1We spent two nights at the Afkos Grammos Hotel Resort. It is not the kind of hotel that you would expect to find in mountainous northern Greece. It fully deserves its four stars, if not more, Everything about this hotel is impressive. The reception and the area around it are decorated by wonderful items, most of them expensive pieces brought from Morocco. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, the people working there, and not just at the reception, make you feel welcome and attend to all your needs with a smile. The rooms are bigger than average and very clean, the bathroom has all the amenities that a traveler may require and the view of the mountains from the balcony is just stunning, Breakfast as well as the buffet dinner offered many choices but, and this is a personal opinion, the food did not taste as good as it looked. Maybe, this is the only weak point that we found at this hotel. Would I recommend this hotel to you ? Oh yes, definitely.
